I was relaxing in my room talking to Oz when I heard a knocking at my bedroom door and kyle's voice travelled into my room.
"Your highness may I please enter?
I sat up properly on my bed then replied.
"You may and you may speak freely"
Kyle walked in and spoke.
"Thank you your highness I came to request something"
I was a bit surprised but spoke normally.
"Well say what you want"
He looked nervous but he managed to stammer out a sentence.
"Well.. uh.. your highness i-i would like more work"
What? more work? that's a surprising request so I asked him a question.
"Are you sure? that's a pretty weird request aren't you busy doing commander stuff? infact I'm pretty sure I just gave you a bunch of organisation documents to read through"
He looked at me and spoke.
"Well those documents were more like drafts written by a 13 year old and I edited them and passed them onto the King as for my other work I don't have very much to do when the army isn't active except advise you"
I thought for a moment and spoke.
"Very well I have a job for you"
He looked excited so I told him.
"You can help train Clair with me"
He looked a bit flabbergasted but I explained.
"Don't worry I am going to be her main tutor but I want you to teach her magic-related things I've noticed how much you've taken an interest in it and you have good enough control to awaken your aura the first time you learnt my awakening technique"
He nodded with realisation and then it occurred to me I hadn't sparred with kyle since his punishment so I stood up and spoke.
"Say I'm a bit bored and you must have improved leaps and bounds since our last spar let's go test how good my commander is on the battlefield"
He had a look on his face of shock and horror quite weird since I'm certain that he is stronger then me, a few moments later and we were in the courtyard my broomstick again his wooden training sword.
I began the countdown.
"3! 2! 1!"
He charged at me trying to get the attackers advantage which would of been a good move if I didn't specifically train in defensive fighting even though I usually end up attacking first I do prefer defensive fighting.
Meaning kyle had just made a big mistake, I knocked his sword to the side and swung the bottom end of my staff up towards his face which he has lowered to gain momentum and expecting a strike from above.
The staff hit his face directly on his nose causing blood to go everywhere and I spoke in absoulute shock.
"Spar over!"
I rushed towards him looking at his now bloody face and spoke.
"Kyle omgs! I'm so sorry let's get you healed up hold still what I'm about to do is going to hurt"
I manually straightened his nose which had been bent making him scream then I used the standard healing spell of the healing unit of Serothor's army.
"I call upon the world to lend me its life which is boundless, I beg upon the world to heal"
His nose straightened a bit more and stopped bleeding and looked at me with begging eyes and I spoke.
"Well it looks like you're all better... time for round two!"
It appeared as though his soul left his body and after a few hours I decided I had won the score was 20:4 kyle being the 4.
He got sick of losing and won three times in a row and won one more time a few rounds after that he is stronger then me and good at magic but he doesn't seem to think while attacking.
We said goodbye and I went back to my room to plan my ideas and brainstorm some strategies it helped that I have a rough idea of the next battle our army will be involved in.
It would probably be the battle for the city of fire, the city of water was captured by the iron empire for many reasons but mostly because they needed a steady source of fresh water.
They conquered the nation of Calinidra and now both the empire and the iron empire have their eyes set on the city of fire which Is to the north east of here on the border of what used to be Calinidra.
In the book the fight is the second major battle that the main character fights in, the first being against the Priestdom of Joryac in the east and this battle was meant to be an introduction to the iron empire in the west.
Well both nations are north of the great empire and serothor but the great empire has an ally nation that directly bordered Calinidra and so they are still in the running for the city of fire.
In the book it is a military failure resulting in the death of nearly 15'000 soldiers and I won't be able to do much to stop it but I am pretty sure I can use it to improve my standing while simultaneously saving a few extra lives.
I will go there, tell them it's a bad idea, be ignored by the 3rd general (an arrogant arsehole) and then save as many lives as possible with 1000 of my best soldiers.
It's more like an outline of the best case scenario than an actual plan but according to my knowledge and deductions it seems about right so now all I have to do is train my army and wait for my summons.
