Chapter 27 - The red woman part 2

My younger sister didn't seem to believe me.

"Gosh. I know what I saw."

It didn't feel right. But I went into my room too. I had a part time job the next day early in the morning. I was waiting for the bus in the bus stop.

The woman in the red puffer jacket from yesterday was in the pay phone booth across the street.

"What? It's that woman again."

I was so scared, so I got on the bus as soon as the bus came. I looked back across the street towards the pay phone booth, the woman was still waving her hand.

But that wasn't everything. I was on my way home at night after the part time job. She was at the same spot and looked exactly the same since the morning.

'HAW!'

"Has she been waiting for me all this time?"

So I called my boyfriend right away and explained what was going on.

"It's that woman again. I think she is following me."

"What? Really?"

"What do I do?"

"Then don't take the bus tomorrow. Take the subway instead."

"Okay. I will."

The next day, I took my boyfriend's advice and went to the subway station to avoid that woman.

I couldn't stop worrying about it, so I kept looking around. At that moment, I saw a hint of red light.

I mistook another woman for the woman in red.

I was waiting for the train to come, when my eyes saw something on the other side of the platform.

I was petrified. I couldn't do anything. Then a word popped up into my head.

"STALKER"

In the end, something unimaginable happened.

I had no choice but to take a cab home. The cab had just arrived in my neighbourhood.

"Sir, this isn't the way to my house. Where am I?"

"What?"

Suddenly, I saw someone in the middle of the road about to get hit by the taxi I was riding.

"Sir! Be careful! Stop the taxi!"

"What's going on?"

The driver stopped the taxi with a harsh brake.

The driver looked back at me and said, " Hey, you can't scare me like that when I am driving!"

Without answering him I got out and searched the road ahead.

"Sir, didn't you see a woman in red long puffer jacket? I was certain she was hit by the car."

"I didn't crash into anyone! Moreover, who would wear a long puffer jacket in summer?"

He was so mad at me for pranking him. Then he looked at my face which had gone pale.

He told me that I was mistaken and he didn't crash into anyone. I was sure the car crashed into the woman on the road.

There was no way the driver couldn't have seen her.

"How come only I saw her?"

When I was wondering that, I realized something. When the car bumped into the woman, there was no sound.

"What if the woman wasn't real?"

At that point, I just wanted to get home as soon as possible. I hurried into the elevator and went up.

All of a sudden, I felt something was right behind me.

That woman was there, waving at me once again.

I screamed and ran to the door.

That woman too started running towards me.
