Alissa suggested with a lot of sarcasm behind her voice. Right after suggesting, in order to tease him more, Alissa made sure to show Mark one of her most scheming looking smile that nobody would trust upon seeing.
Seeing that smile, mark felt slightly disgusted. He felt disgusted because he was able to tell that Alissa was making fun of his incompetence. Little did he know that Alissa wasn't only making fun of him, but also lying straight to his face. Of course, Alissa didn't mean any harm with her lies, and only tried to keep the dangerously consequential truth from him.
