Ashley is in her office, working on her laptop while there was a knock on her office door. Without looking up, she yelled at them to come in. The door opened revealing her PA who came in with a file and notepad in her hands.
"Ma'am." Her PA called her out.
"Yes, Sasha?" Ashley asked without moving her gaze up from the laptop. Sasha, her PA sighed and said, "Ma'am, Mr. Matthews is hosting a party tonight for his recent success of bragging a deal and you are invited to the party."
Ashley stopped typing on her laptop and moved her gaze to Sasha who started sweating in nervousness. Ashley didn't say anything for a while and Sasha was just a step away from having a panic attack.
Ashley sighed before asking, "Is it really important for me to go today? Is there any way to skip it?" And Sasha frowned thinking she might misheard anything.
"Sorry ma'am... I think, it will help us with the next deal we want to have with him." Sasha asked trying to think why her Boss is trying to skip a party. Ashley was about to say something but her mobile pinged, stopping her from saying anything.
She looked at her mobile and saw that the text is from Ivan and that text alone made her smile.
"Get ready at 7:30 P.M. We are going on a date." Says the text and Ashley almost squealed but then stopped herself looking at Sasha who was looking at her weirdly with a frown but Ashley sighed as she closed her eyes as her business is more important than anything to her.
"Okay. I will attend the party." Ashley said with a half heart. She knows how important their allies are for her and she can't play with her company she created with her hard work. She can plan another date if wanted. Or that's what she thought but she can't risk her business ever.
She dismissed Sasha after guiding her about today's work and also asked about the venue before ordering for lunch as it's noon already. Looking at her watch, she glanced at her mobile before calling Ivan and kept it on her ear.
"Hey, love." W voice came from the other side and it made her smile widely.
"Hey, baby." Ashley replied and she could feel the other side's smile.
"Okay. So are you excited for our date Tonight? The date follows a night full of love. Just you, me and the moon that shines its light on us." Ivan said in an easy voice and Ashley almost purred at the blissful feeling.
"Umm... Ivan... Actually, I am going to attend a party. Umm... Why don't you join me?" Ashley said indirectly saying no to the date.
"Come on, Ash. It's just a party. Ignore it and you know we can have some really precious time." Ivan replied, trying to convince her.
"I know, it's just a party. But the party is of Mr. Matthews and you know how important a client he is for my company." Ashley said calmly.
"But love, it's just a party. He isn't hosting a meeting that you should be there. It's just a party." Ivan replied, trying to control his anger. He couldn't bear that she is rejecting him for a stupid party.
"Baby, try to understand it's really important. You know, I can't really miss this and if I can, do you think I would have been going to it when I had an opportunity to be with you?" Ashley asked, trying to keep her calm down too. She doesn't know why the hell he is making a big deal out of a simple party.
"That's what, I'm saying. Does that party come first?" Ivan asked, finally losing his cool.
He hates it when someone glances at her. The outfit she wears for parties makes her look incredible and no human could move their gaze away from her. Every man looks at her like a kid looking at chocolate cake and Ivan completely hates that. Every party they go together, all Ivan does is to protect her from lusty men.
Ashley was about to retort him but that was stopped as there was a knock on the door. "Come in." Ashley said and a servant walked in with a tray of her lunch. Thanking him, she opened the lid on the tray while the servant left her office quickly.
"You know, your place in my life so don't even go there." Ashley warned and started having the lunch in anger.
"So you mean, you are going there intentionally?" Ivan burst on her out of annoyance.
"Ivan, Can we stop talking about this? But, if you come to the party, we can talk about this." Ashley said after taking deep breaths.
"I'm not coming to that stupid party." Ivan replied rolling his eyes. Ashley looked at her mobile, her jaw touching the ground.
"Are you serious?" Ashley asked.
"Of Course, I won't be coming and all thanks to you for making my mood sour." Ivan answered and quickly ended the call making her a bit stunned.
She gritted her teeth and threw her mobile on her desk in anger. She started muttering profanities at him. She didn't understand what she said to him that he got this angry.
Sighing, she continued having lunch. She decided she would talk to him after the party. She hates when they both fight even though that's really rare when they fight.
After her lunch, she started making herself busy with her work and she was barely able to concentrate. She ordered coffee to treat her headache. After having coffee in silence thinking about the fight they had, she again went back to her work when her PA chipped in to inform about the meeting.
Nodding her head at her PA, Ashley went inside the meeting room. She took a deep breath before composing herself and bragged about the deal successfully.
Happy at her mini success, she planned about arranging something after the party.
After completing the meeting, she almost ran to her Mansion to get ready for the party.
As soon as she reached her mansion, she directly went to her room and to the restroom and got under the shower. After washing herself, she wore a cherry red one piece that flows till the ground and the spit that starts from the mid thigh gives her perfect look showing off her curves which can make any man swoon over her. Leaving her hair open and applying a smoking hot red lipstick, she kept her makeup to minimum and hung diamond studs and a simple pearl necklace looking professional and hot at the same time.
