[Warning: Sexual Assault, Violence]
Dancing was fun, really fun. I couldn't understand why Su Meng looked so miserable at the table, sipping her drink so slowly.
The music here was loud and the beat would meld with my heart as I closed my eyes and just let my experienced body react. I found myself wondering what the music was like in the world I was from.
Another solace I found was that despite the dancefloor being full of bodies, I was isolated in my own little bubble. Nobody recognised me, that I knew of, the only eyes that lingered on me were full of simple curiosity, jealousy, or lust. I ignored it all.
Thirsty, I returned to the table to drink the sweet nectar that was supposed to get me drunk. However, after drinking quite a bit so far, I felt perfectly fine.
"Almost time to go," Su Meng tugged on my elbow, then pointed to her phone showing it was well after midnight. The time I'd managed to negotiate her into letting me stay was one in the morning.
Jianyu would probably be home right now.
"Yes mother," I nodded, finishing the rest of the cocktail pitcher, "get me one more then please?"
Ignoring her exasperated sigh, I returned to the dancefloor to enjoy the next few songs. Three songs along I finally found a downfall to dancing in nightclubs.
"So bloody hot," I groaned, fanning myself.
"Wanna grab some fresh air?" A voice spoke into my ear. Startled, I looked up to see a guy with wildly styled dyed hair. Though he wore a simple shirt and pants, he had tattoos and piercings contrasting them.
He was amongst a group I'd noticed earlier, who all wore masks. Despite his mask covering most of his handsome face, his brown eyes were creased as if he was smiling underneath.
"Do I know you?" I asked, tilting my head to study his face some more.
"Yeah it's me," he lowered his mask to show me his face briefly before putting it back up. Was he a celebrity too? Was he someone Zhiyue knew?
"Sure, I'm too hot," I continued fanning myself, conscious that the crowd around us was already heavily dancing to the new song.
He hovered one hand respectfully at my waist guiding me through the dancers until we reached an open door at the edge, that led to the bathrooms. A cool breeze lured me to eagerly walk ahead to the exit ahead.
When I almost fell through the door, I realised my footwork wasn't as great as I thought it was. I didn't like this.
"It's called being drunk," System nagged, "if you don't like it let me filter it for you quicker?"
"Yes, yes," I quipped to the System, though I felt a bit bitter at the thought of losing this warm fuzzy nonchalance I'd maintained a few hours now.
"Want some water?" My new acquaintance passed me a bottle of mineral water.
Feeling the dry itch in my throat I took the bottle without hesitation, even moaning slightly as its cool liquid soothed my insides.
I glanced at the empty bottle in my hand and then back to the guy who'd completely lowered his mask to breathe in the cool night air. Blushing, when he took back the bottle, "sorry."
He waved his hands dismissively, then tossed the bottle to go into a recycling dumpster a few meters away, it landed perfectly.
"How are you feeling Yue'er?" He asked, guiding me away from the door and bins.
"I think I'm actually drunk," I blurted out loud, leaning against the coarse brick wall to look up the narrow alleyway to the faint stars in the sky. "Fuck," my legs ached, cramping, "I really am drunk."
Hurry up System.
"You sound so surprised," the man leaned on the wall beside me, typing into his mobile.
"I am," I looked at his face, feeling a familiarity finally, was I finally getting Zhiyue's memories? "I thought I was an alcoholic, but now I'm not so sure."
"Wei Zhiyue, an alcoholic," he laughed heartily, sliding his phone into his pocket to pay full attention to me. Smoothly, he raised his hand to tilt my chin to face him. I subconsciously shrunk my neck.
"Don't take this the wrong way," I pushed his hand off my chin, "but after my accident, I have some memory issues… who are you?"
Instead of being embarrassed or angry, he laughed again as if happy I'd asked.
I suddenly felt very stupid. I hadn't even told Su Meng I was getting fresh air.
"I need to go back inside," I squeaked, my cheeks flushed in embarrassment.
A firm hand on my chest, pushed me easily back into the wall, winding me. When I went to push him away, my arms felt limp. Even my knees began to feel like they were hanging on by a mere thread to hold me up.
"Wha-" before I could finish a word he kissed me. My blurring vision had not even noticed him moving until he had.
"You're drugged," System explained, "but I'm dealing with it."
Thanks for the heads up.
Slight strength returned to my arms and knees, just in time since his hands began to grow too comfortable pawing away at my body like a dog in heat.
"Stop," my speech was slurred, but at least I could now speak between his slobbering kisses.
He did not obey, only moving to kiss my neck and liftin my crop top to expose my bra. My knee reacted faster than my mind, aiming toward his groin but landing on his stomach.
Instead of getting aggressive or backing off as I imagined, he laughed again. His echoing laughter in the alleyway brought chills down my spine.
Whilst I was steadying myself, pulling my top down, he grabbed my previously neat ponytail, yanking my head to look up at him.
He felt taller, colder, and more menacing than the guy who had smiled so sweetly in the club. Before either of us could speak his phone began to buzz in his pocket. Taking it out, the sinister smile on his face widened at what he read.
"Now," still gripping my hair, he dragged me to follow clumsily, "let me show you what I do with disobedient little girls like you."
