Gianna took a cab from the hotel and arived at her matrimonial home. Her dad gifted this mansion to her. Everything here belonged to her family and...
Ignoring the guards and maids who rushed up to welcome her, she went straight to a room and locked the door behind her. leaning on it. Now, she finally had time to think. Henry's betrayal, her father's death, her own death and waking up again. here, in this time. Everything felt like a couple of hours to her yet she was really back to her past after she died. She was given a brand new chance to live again and she won't waste it. She took a long bath dressed up then went over to stand in front of a mirror, staring at her reflection. She looked beautiful. Really beautiful and she would use that to her advantage. Looking at the date and time, it was only two month before her father's death. Henry had already acquired a fair amount of power in the company. She needed to divorce him very quickly before he gets more control and to do that, there has to be a valid reason. A reason for her to demand a divorce. She smirked when she remembered Klara. Her supposed best friend.
'Just you wait you all. I'll make sure I take you to hell' Her eyes gleamed with something wicked as she made this promise.
A knock came on her door just then and she went over to open it only to see Henry's face.
"Where have you been?" He pushed her inside. Holding her shoulders and checking for any injuries "G, do you know how worried I was" He looked deeply at her with that gaze that would've made her melt if she didn't know better. He looked like he was worried but then he started to touch her in inappropriate places clearly wanting something else.
"Not now Henry" She pushed his hands away and exited the room hearing his footsteps as he followed behind her. He hugged her from behind making her stop in her track.
"What's wrong G? You've been acting strange. We just got married and you're already treating me like this"
Gianna sighed knowing that she had to endure this. She turned to him and rubbed her forehead then squeezed her eyes shot and opened them again "I'm just so tired. How about when we've all rested? I promise you'll have your way" She gave him a weak smile and heard him sigh. Without protesting, he released her.
"I understand G" He smiled at her "I can massage your shoulders if they're tired too. You know" He winked playfully.
"Ah, I would have really love that but I need to see Dad" She played along and turned around to go when Henry called out.
"I love you" He said. She froze in her spot. Feeling a familiar ache spread in her chest because once again he Just lied. She was still in love with him hours ago but the moment he pushed her out of that window. She felt nothing for him but hearing him say this familiar words that use to make her so happy and knowing that it was a lie made her sad.
She turned and gave him a smile without saying anything in return, she went down the stairs, exited the house and went to the garage where her car was packed. She got in her car and drove straight to her father's company. It was almost noon so her father must still be in his office by now.
She arrived in front of a tall building that had a huge writing 'W CORPERATION' written on top of it. She went in hastily ignoring the sweet greetings of the employees who wanted to suck up to her. Finding her way to her father's office, she barged in startling her father who was standing with a document in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.
He relaxed when he saw it was her then his brows furrowed again "I expected you to still be in bed by now. Did your honeymoon end so quickly" He chuckled but only saw tears start to roll down from his daughter's eyes which immediately made him start to panick as he approached and asked "What's wrong princess? Did that bastard hurt you?"
"I didn't kill him, my men did and of course it was brutal. They made sure to pull out his tongue first to stop him from blabbering his nonsense' These were the words that ran through her head and more tears flowed from her eyes. She threw herself on him, hugging him tightly and making sure all this was real. He was real. Standing in front of her alive and not dead. She got the chance to be in his arms again, to hear him call her princess, his princess and to feel him rub her hair. She couldn't describe what she felt as she let go and realized she had to sort out her emotions.
Her father didn't ask any questions as he led her to sit but he was raging inside. That bastard she just married must have done something to her making his baby cry like this. He had to teach him a little lesson.
"I want to take over the company" Gianna announced after cleaning her tears and putting her emotions in order.
Her father was shocked and wondered if he was dreaming "Do you know what you just said"
"Yes dad. I want to learn. I think... I'm ready now and I will make a good CEO don't you think?" She winked playfully and almost laughed at her father's shocked expression.
Mr Walker was really shocked. How many times had he tried to convince her? He had tried everything, used every method, trying to get her to claim her position yet she had always said she wasn't interested and that her husband will claim that position for her and now...
"You're not joking right? Today's not April fool either. If you dare to go back on your words..."
"I won't" She said firmly letting him see the seriousness in her eyes.
"But... Your husband..."
"I know he already claimed the position of vice president but don't worry, you can leave him there for now. I don't know anything about business so..."
"I can arrange for a position for you princess. That's a piece of cake" Mr walker found this development strange but he didn't ask any questions. Like why she suddenly changed her mind just a day after her wedding. What went wrong?
"Ehrmm... That's where I need your help" She started. "They'll be a lot disadvantages for me if I start to work here suddenly and I still need to surprise everyone and prove my worth to the board members. So I was thinking, if you could secure a position for me in some other company. A much more powerful and influential corperation. One that could easily defeat W"
Mr walker stared at her and for a moment she saw a look of suspicion flash in his eyes but it was quickly gone replaced with a worried look. Maybe he decided to trust her but he didn't ask her why as she expected. Why she wanted to work in such a company and not their own
"There are not a lot of companies that will be willing to accept you especially a company that matches your criteria" He said seeing the serious look in her eyes as she asked 'why' but he just gave her a look and remained silent.
Of course Gianna got the reason immediately. It was because everyone thought of her as a rich heiress. Incompetent with only the ability to spend money and throw tantrums. A spoiled brat. Well, what's so wrong with being a spoiled brat?
"Dad" She blinked "You have the best ability in convincing people. I can testify to that and I'm sure you can do this" She smiled sweetly quickly praising him.
"Which company do you have in mind?" He asked taking his cup of coffee and bringing it to his mouth"
"Bluedorm corps"
*cough *cough. Her father choked seriously. Spitting out the coffee in his mouth while she quickly rushed to rub his back. He gave her a look of disbelief and she smiled cheekily.
Bluedorm corps. The numb er 1 most powerful and influential company in the country.
