Jason's Pov
I actually didn't think she would fall asleep and feel completely relaxed in my embrace.
But, I couldn't feel the same as my wolf was so agitated and restless to have her so close to us, and the strong whiff of her scent made him go crazy.
He wanted to claim her right now, but I knew it would scare her so I kept trying my best to control him as he paced back and forth in my head, pushing at me and trying to take over.
"She's ours, and this is the right time to mark her!" He growled in my mind when I felt my gums start to tingle.
"No Seth! That can not happen here or now." I pleaded, knowing I'd have to stop him from doing anything drastic.
"Why?" He huffed, "I feel like she belongs here with us!"
"She does belong here, Seth! But it is still too early to mark her!" I yelled desperately, trying to keep him at bay.
Though he didn't like me having to suppress our instincts anymore, he understood that I was right and tried his best to calm down, but every once in a while there was a sudden flare-up inside him and he would try to take over again.
This went on for hours until we got exhausted and finally fell asleep.
The next morning was a lot quieter than usual. My wolf seemed to be sleeping peacefully, which calmed me down.
I could still hear Aurora's soft snores that confirmed that she was still asleep.
Carefully not wanting to wake her, I rolled her over to the side, releasing her from my tight grip, and carefully stood up, bending over to stare at her beautiful body.
Her long curly hair covered most of her face so I gently brushed some of the locks aside to get a better look at her peaceful face and let out a small sigh.
Her soft skin made me want to hold her closer. Her delicate features were even more prominent when she slept.
My hand unconsciously reached towards her face and brushed away another strand of hair, causing her to stir slightly before I withdrew my fingers.
My mind later drifted off to the talk we had last night. The way she looked at me when I told her about my past. There was something about her gaze that made me believe that she cared. And also the way and manner she spoke were the most sincere way I've ever been comforted by anyone.
Although I haven't yet concluded on going with her to Kimoptra, I'm hoping we would discuss it when she wakes up.
Looking over the firewood that had already burned out during the night, I decided that since I was awake now it was safe to go hunt for our food for the morning and also fetch some woods when returning.
I stand up, feeling my wolf waking up and stretching lazily.
'Good morning.' I said mentally to him, letting his voice fill my mind.
'Good morning master.' He responded sleepily, his thoughts slow but clear enough to make me smile.
Suddenly reaching the entrance of the cave, I feel my wolf getting up so quickly
'What's wrong?' I asked, curious as to why he suddenly became energetic.
He growled furiously in my head," They found us!" his words filled with fury and anger.
Clenching my fist hard, I could feel the energy coursing through my veins, my heart began to race and my breathing came fast and shallow.
"Let's pay them a visit then!"
His low voice filled my thoughts again as a smirk tugged at the corners of my lips, "
It will be an interesting morning." I say, connecting to the energy I felt within, I teleported to where they were.

Aurora's Pov
Opening my eyes slowly, I blinked several times, trying to adjust my sight to the darkness surrounding me, my senses coming to life slowly as my eyes took in the surroundings.
Forcing myself upright, I looked around me, searching for Jason.
Finding nothing, I frowned in confusion.
I tried calling his name but only got silence as a response.
Standing up cautiously, I moved to look behind me, but the space where I had originally laid was empty and silent.
"Where is he?" My voice trembled as I questioned the universe.
Not finding any answers, I started walking, following the little sunlight that peered into the cave.
Finally outside with my feet lightly padding against the ground, making me cautious in case someone was hiding somewhere.
As my steps grew louder, I started scanning the area for traces of a trail of footprints.
When I realized I was going in circles, I slowed my steps, looking around to find somewhere, anywhere, Jason could go.
Trying to shake off my worry about what might have happened, I continued looking around for any sign that Jason might have left me.
I hear a loud growl nearby, my blood running cold at the sound of danger.
Without hesitation, I ran towards it, hoping it wasn't Jason.
The growling sounds are growing closer and closer until finally, I spotted him as I stood behind a bush, seeing him standing with his hands curled up into a ball by his side.
His face is red with rage and I could see his fangs bared out dangerously through clenched teeth.
The air seemed thick with tension and judging from the way both emerald green and amber swirled together in his eyes, I could tell he had just used his powers or was using them right now.
His eyes are fixated only in front of him.
His stance is stiff and rigid, his fists trembling by his side and his body appeared tense like he was ready to go for an attack.
I wonder if he was able to register my presence or if he wasn't aware of my presence at all.
So I follow his gaze to see who he was murderously staring at or what exactly was going on, only for me to be struck dumb by the sight of his father, Gieon, and a face I recognized all too well...
....Nina...
