Holly tilted her head, which was very cute in Felix's eyes. Holly's clothes were dirty, a disgusting human smell clung to her body, and her hair was a mess. However, her appearance was very breathtaking for Felix.
Yes, Felix was really holding his breath. He wanted to attack Holly, kissing her until the human stench disappeared.
Felix shook his head. He must focus. This wasn't the time to make love.
"As you said, the second prince never showed himself."
"Yes. And that was you?" Holly's confused face with her mouth slightly open was adorable.
"That will be me. I just need to be the second prince and take the throne."
Now Holly was blinking her eyes, a sign that she was beginning to understand. Felix tried to hold his smile. Many knights were there, and he didn't want to lose prestige.
"What if he comes back?"
"We just need to get rid of him."
Felix was sure that the second prince being kept secret was none other than Millard, the wolf behind all of this. With Felix here, Millard wouldn't dare show up.
Felix told one of his knights to approach. "Tell the people that the King is dead. Now the second prince will ascend the throne."
That knight nodded and then left from there.
Holly was still standing and looking around. They were in the centre of the palace, which was already filled with Felix's people. All the human palace employees have been removed, and even Holly also heard that human officials had been killed.
That was scary, actually. Felix got rid of everyone who got in his way. But Holly remembered how cruel the officials were. She couldn't feel sorry for them.
So this was the end? This kingdom had really been in Felix's hands so easily? They didn't need to go back to the castle anymore?
Holly was still wondering, unable to believe the victory had come so quickly. Was this why the werewolves were waiting for Felix to wake up before they started to make a move? Because Felix's existence was really that strong.
"Gilbert, find an empty room and take Holly to rest."
Gilbert nodded. He led Holly to an empty room. He used to live in this palace when Felix became King. He had already memorized every corner of the palace.
"Not much has changed in this palace over the hundreds of years. They are too lazy to renovate it," Gilbert said as they walked down the hall to their room.
"Isn't this building so strong that it can last that long?"
"Of course, but we will carry out renovations after this. No matter this palace's strength, it could collapse at any time due to age."
Holly stole glances at Gilbert. His left hand held Holly while his right hand held her waist. They clung to each other, walking slowly through the hallway.
"You don't talk much, Gilbert." Holly noticed that this time Gilbert's face was brighter. Maybe he was happy to be back in the palace.
"I speak only what is necessary, Your Majesty."
Holly was happy because Gilbert's presence made her feel less lonely. Even though every day Gilbert just stood around her without saying anything. But if she remembered, Gilbert was always be the second person who was ready to help her.
Gilbert led Holly into a room. Previously, a guard assigned by Felix had chosen the cleanest room for them.
"You should rest, Your Majesty. I'll have the maid get some warm water to wash you." Gilbert helped Holly sit on the bed.
Holly chuckled. "Are there maids here already? Didn't Felix get rid of them all?"
"Ah...." Gilbert just remembered. This wasn't the castle, and there was only their army here.
"Then let me prepare the water and wet towels for you, Your Majesty."
Holly nodded. She let Gilbert go for a while to get some water. Even though she didn't want to be left alone, Holly felt her body was filthy. She needed to shower but didn't have clothes to wear yet.
A moment later, Gilbert came in with a water basin and a towel. "Let me help you, Your Majesty."
Holly rolled up her sleeves. Gilbert took Holly's hand and wiped it with a damp towel. He cleaned the dust that stuck to Holly's skin carefully.
The door suddenly opened without permission. Both Holly and Gilbert were taken aback, but Holly had already guessed who it was. The only person who often entered other people's rooms without knocking was Felix.
Felix was standing at the door. His brow furrowed as he looked at Holly and Gilbert in turn.
"What are you doing?" Felix asked furiously.
Gilbert looked confused for a moment, and then he immediately realized. Gilbert smiled. "Would you like to take my place, Your Majesty?"
Felix raised one eyebrow. Needless to say, Felix was happy to replace him.
Gilbert stood up to have Felix replace his position. Holly was confused by what had happened.
"Don't you have a lot to do, Your Majesty?" Holly knew Felix was still needed downstairs. They had just captured the palace, not to mention Felix had to bring his people from the Dark Forest here.
"Let me rest for a bit." Like Gilbert had done earlier, Felix took a towel and rubbed Holly's skin.
"I'll take my leave now, Your Majesty. Enjoy your time," Gilbert said with his mischievous smile and left the room.
Felix's attention was still on Holly. He cleaned her arm, so Holly had to expose her skin more.
"I can do it myself."
Holly blushed. She was fine when Gilbert did it, but Felix was an exception.
"No. You're still too weak. Humans like you are fragile."
Holly stifled a laugh. She was a bit dizzy from hunger but wasn't that weak.
"I hate their stench," Felix said with a slight growl.
The stench of humans clinging to Holly made his stomach churn. He wanted to get rid of the smell immediately, but unfortunately, this kind of smell didn't go away quickly with just water.
Holly looked at Felix intently. She understood Felix's feelings. With such a sharp nose, he must be tormented by the pungent smell.
"Then, should you bite me again?"
Felix froze. His eyes widened in disbelief at what he had just heard.
"You can bite me if you want."
