Holly's body was burning. Her face was red with embarrassment. Meanwhile, Felix remained calm, sucking Holly's finger while looking at her.
"It's sweet," he said with a calm smile.
Holly held her breath. She couldn't move and froze. Her brain failed to process what had just happened.
Felix raised his eyebrows. "What? You want me to taste it again?"
Holly hastily pulled her hand. "N-no. It's enough." Holly's voice trembled with embarrassment.
Felix acted like nothing had happened. He didn't realize Holly's heart almost jumped out of her chest because of his behaviour.
Holly pretended to be busy transferring the dough into the pan and baking it. She tried to hide her face from Felix as much as possible. She didn't want Felix to see her embarrassing red face.
But Felix enjoyed what he did. He supported his chin with hands, looking at Holly, who was bussy going here and there.
"Why are you here, Your Majesty?" Holly tried to divert the conversation. She was still standing with her back to Felix.
"I want to see you," Felix answered bluntly. He was not even ashamed of what he said.
Holly covered her face with her palms. He couldn't think about what had just happened. What was wrong with him, and what was wrong with her? She could take it as an insult and snapped him, but she let Felix do it. Moreover, what's wrong with her own reaction? Why did her heart react this way?
[I think I'm going crazy.] Holly shook her head.
From behind, Felix stifled a laugh seeing Holly. Every little thing she did look cute in his eyes. He couldn't take his eyes off Holly.
The smell of freshly baked cake pulled Holly back to reality. It seemed a few minutes had passed. Holly removed the cake from the grill, carefully to not burn her hands.
The cake looked good but needed more cream and decoration. Holly has prepared the cream that she made herself earlier. After waiting for the cake to cool down, Holly spread the cream on it.
Holly also picked up some berries from the basket to decorate. Felix raised his eyebrows. It was the berries he introduced to Holly when they were at the lake.
"You sure love those berries." Felix chuckled while Holly was busy arranging the berries on the cream layer.
"I won't eat this. I don't want to make some scene. But since you are resistant to poison, I believe you can handle those berries."
"I am," Felix said confidently, even though he hadn't touched alcohol since he woke up. He also only ate a few berries.
"It's done!" Holly presented a cake covered with white cream and surrounded by berries.
"Could you tell me the names of these berries so I can name the cake?"
Felix shrugged. "We never gave it a name. These were just berries."
Holly scowled. Why was this delicious fruit not given a name? No wonder Felix kept calling it berries.
"Then give it a name. There's no way we can keep calling it berries. There are many kinds of berries in this world."
Felix held his chin. Those berries, at first glance, look like raspberries but taste different. Then he looked Holly in the eyes. Likely, he had found the name.
"Holly berries."
Holly widened her eyes, and a few seconds later, she burst out laughing. "Why do you call it that? You make this fruit sound sacred."
Felix laughed along with his confused face. He was serious when he wanted to give it the name Holly Berries because Holly really liked it. Every time Felix saw the fruit, he would remember her smile.
Holly decided to end this matter. It's not possible to get a name in a short time. She will also help Felix find the right name.
Holly took a plate and knife. She cut the cake and put the piece of cake onto the plate.
"Should we move to the dining room?" Holly wanted Felix to taste it right now. She knew Felix must have been craving that cake since he kept looking at her while she made it.
"I will eat it here."
Holly was surprised, but she gave the plate to Felix. She didn't think Felix would want to eat in a dirty kitchen like this. After all, he is a king who is used to living in luxury. Holly admitted that sometimes she forgot to call Felix properly as a King because he was too casual with her.
Felix ate voraciously, even taking a few more pieces. Holly took a chair and sat in front of it. She just knew that watching people eat can be this much fun.
"I have a few things on my mind." Felix finished eating after only a little cake left. He took a napkin to wipe his cream-stained lips.
"What is it, Your Majesty?"
"Why won't you marry me?"
Holly froze in her seat. Finally, they discussed marriage again. To be honest, Holly wasn't comfortable talking about this issue. She didn't want to ruin the good mood.
"Is it because I'm a beast? Are you afraid of me?"
Holly shook her head quickly. "No. I'm not that scared of you."
Although Holly was afraid of Felix at first, she felt better around him as time passed.
"Why?" Felix was quite surprised because he thought Holly was very afraid of him, just like everyone else.
"I don't know. You seem nice." Holly hesitated because she had not realized the real reason.
"Then why?" This time Felix wanted to know why Holly rejected him. If Holly wasn't afraid of him, she should have no reason to reject her marriage to Felix.
"I just want to... marry someone I really know. Make a happy little family."
Felix's brow furrowed. It was obvious he was confused. He thought very hard about what Holly's words meant.
"I like sweets." Felix suddenly made an announcement out of nowhere.
Holly was confused by his sudden attitude. "Pardon?"
"Like what you said. I love sweet things. I don't like sleeping too long, because I've been sleeping for hundreds of years. I like looking at the moon because it reminds me of my mother."
Holly didn't understand why Felix suddenly brought that up. Didn't they just talk about marriage?
"I have never experienced a beautiful family like what you said. My father killed my first brother, so I killed my father and my second brother because he was my father's alliance. But I had a mother that I believed gave me such thing called love, so I wasn't really clueless about it."
Holly didn't expect Felix to be discussing a serious matter like this calmly. She thought things like this were some things he would keep to himself.
"Why did you tell me?"
"I will tell you everything about me."
Felix stood up from the chair. He walked over to Holly and knelt in front of her.
"But you have to marry me."
