Henry spent the night at Layla's place, and left early the next morning, heading up to his own apartment. He had a long day ahead of him, and he wanted to get an early start.
The execution had calmed the pack down, and it had served its intended purpose, the pack now had renewed faith in him, even with his father being sick. They knew that they had an Alpha they could turn to and rely on. And when his father eventually passed, there would be no open vacuum of power.
But that had only been one issue, and not the worst one, too. There were still wolves that were loyal to David within his pack, within Wolfsbane. And if David had joined with Auburn, that meant that his wolves were now loyal to Bloodmoon, and that just wasn't acceptable and they had to be rooted out.
