The ban on Runa's two bodyguards didn't make Chris lose his way. He ordered someone to spy on Runa and when that person came into his study, Chris knew something was wrong.
"Ms. Crown is missing, sir," said the man, looking down. He was frightened because he had failed to carry out the task. And indeed, in other situations, Chris will give him punishment for his mistakes. But he had too much on his mind tonight and he didn't want to waste his time on something trivial, like punishing someone. He'd just fire him.
"What do you mean?"
"She was last seen with a young man, walking out of the dress rehearsal. After that… they disappeared… just like that."
Chris' body stiffened at the report. He just finished a conference call with shareholders. They questioned Chris's ability to lead the company and some of them demanded that Chris relinquish his shareholding and resign from his position.
