My padawan and I emerged from an alleyway about half a block from the club. I wasn't sure that I had words to describe what I was seeing.
There were groups of intoxicated men stumbling down the street. None of them could utter anything near a string of coherent words, but they carried on nonetheless.
Along the sides of the street, several men were passed out, or dead. I wasn't sure. They were covered in vomit and dirt. Some were even wearing clothes stained with blood.
As we crossed the street, I paused for a moment as my eyes locked on something that when put lightly could be described as unsightly. There was a dead female Twi'lek sprawled on the ground next to a building across from the club. She was not bloody, but her clothes were shredded in ways that blatantly gave away her cause of death.
I closed my eyes to took a deep breath, suppressing my disgust. It would not serve me well at this time.
The street was lined with broken bottles and used inhalers soaked in vomit and urine. It was a putrid scene.
I glanced at my padawan. "Ignore it all for now. We will discuss this later."
Sirius nodded. "Yes, master."
We carefully stepped over the various biohazards but reached the door unscathed. I reached out to press the button to open the doors but paused. I shivered and recoiled slightly before waving my hand. The door opened with the force.
A heavy stench of cigarette smoke and alcohol exploded through the doors with the loud music. As the doors opened, I quickly stepped out of the way.
A knife flew through the air and bounced across the street. I looked inside and saw a man with a disappointed face. His expression quickly turned to dread as he turned away and disappeared into the crowd. I glanced at Sirius, but he merely shrugged.
I sighed but walked inside. We needed to distract the Sith. No one could know that Alpha team was here.
A raspy voice came from my right. "Oi, cunt, check yer blasters at the door."
I turned to my right and found a caged room with a counter and a slot. There was a man sitting behind the cage with an impatient expression.
I nodded, unclipping my rifle from my vest and pulling my pistol from its holster. I placed them on the counter and slid them through the slot.
The man's eyes widened. "Fockin hell, you special forces?"
I nodded. "Yeah, something like that. Needed to let loose for a bit."
He nodded. "Mmmmhm. Like these other cunts. Watch yer arse in 'ere."
I shrugged. "Nothing I can't handle."
Sirius put his rifle and pistol on the counter. I then turned away form the caged room. "Let's grab a drink."
We walked through the doorway to enter the club. Through the music and flashing lights, I was able to hear a lot of yelling and shattering glass.
Weaving through the crowd, I found a bar. I stepped up and a bartender walked over. "What can I get for you?"
I reached into my pocket and dropped a handful of credits on the counter. "Your finest single malt on the rocks and a beer for the kid." I nodded towards my padawan. "You can keep the change."
The bartender's eyes widened before he nodded and swept the credits right into his pocket. Barely 30 seconds past before he was back with our drinks. There was blue liquor in a short glass with a large cube and a canned beer.
He smiled as he set the drinks down. "Enjoy."
I nodded and took the drinks. I handed the beer to Sirius and held mine up. He cracked open the top and tapped his can against my glass. We both took sips.
I shrugged as I tasted the liquor. "Honestly, not bad."
Sirius nodded. "I think I like this beer."
I smiled. "Let's look around."
As I was about to step away from the bar, I heard a feminine scream. My head snapped towards the source and my smile disappeared.
There was a tray of food on the floor, the plates shattered. There were three men and one of them was pulling his clothes off. On the couch in front of him, there was a female Twi'lek being held down by the other two men. Her pants were ripped open.
I could feel her fear. It pressed against me in waves that fed the rage creeping through my body. All I wanted was to throw down my drink and slaughter everyone in this club.
Then, I felt the same rage coming from Sirius. I needed to compose myself. I reached out with my open right hand and squeezed Sirius' shoulder.
He flinched and looked at me. I shook my head as I watched the disrobed man grab her legs and thrust his hips forward. "In due time."
Sirius took a deep breath and then nodded. "Alright."
I took a large swig of my drink and walked away. Sirius did the same.
There was a beep in my ear. "General, we are in position."
I looked around briefly before tapping my ear. "Clear to proceed."
I tapped it once again to close the channel. Through my subsiding rage, I could feel a slight chill in the air. It was gnawing at my every thought.
With another sip of my drink, my eyes locked onto a door with two guards. There.
I started walking towards it. As I did, there was another shriek. I watched as a large man stepped into a room a few doors down from the one that I had been watching.
The man had a young female Twi'lek over his shoulder. She couldn't have been older than 10. She was kicking and screaming, her tiny fists pounding on his back.
Then, she made eye contact with me as a tear fell from her eye. I glanced as Sirius and pointed at the man. "Him."
Sirius nodded. Without so much as an ounce of hesitation, his armed turned into a blurry mess. I was able to hear the slightest of whooshes through the loud music.
The door to the private room was sliding shut. At the last fraction of a second, I watched as a throwing knife buried itself into the base of the man's neck. His entire body froze as he collapsed to the ground.
I could tell at a glance that he was not dead. No, it was worse. He was completely paralyzed from the neck down. He was now completely paralyzed and stuck in a room with the girl he was about to rape. He got what he deserved.
The door then closed fully. I nodded in approval. "We do what we can."
Sirius nodded and took several gulps of his beer. It was almost empty now.
I followed suit and finished my drink. Like a gentleman, I placed it on the tray of a waitress as she walked by. Now, the room was just a few yards away.
