The Wildflower who loved the Sun

1 | Rulay's dream.

In the old barracks of the knights, the leaders shared their stories of adventures and journey they took in order to become a Knight for the great Emperor.

It was the fourth night and the selection had already ended, the ending ceremony began after the Wind Master was crowned as the new God of Wind and King of the Easterns.

It was the night where the chosen one's bid farewell to their families and friends leaving for training and then eventually becoming a Knight one day. Danning, unlike others did not want his grandparents to visit him this far, therefore was alone as he watched the people in tears and joy indicating not only the end of the event, but also the Knight's discharge for the human realm.

"No 653!". "Here!".

The line was formed, longer than any falls and rivers. Out of thousands only a ninety thousand were chosen. The gate opened, and a view I had never seen stood before me like a wall of fear I had hidden. This was the real deal, I was afraid if I could do this or not.

"Chosen one's, the human realm is just beneath us, remember to look for your questions, the answers will follow you themselves!", and just with that, Danning found himself in a market place.

"Ah.. Where am I?".

He did not understand how he was in the middle of a market, standing with his bag, in between beings who seemed a little different.

"Young man could you help this old lady, please buy this fruit".

"I.. ".

"I swear they're freshly picked, would you please buy it", an old woman who seemed to be tired says as she lifts a basket of fruit".

The ways of human survival, was similar to the way these immortals had lived. Every thing about the humans reminded Danning of his mother land and family who he wished to see.

"Granny, I have no coins, I can not purchase these fruits", Danning smiled.

The old woman stared Danning, who looked like a rich traveller from head to toe and smiles as she pulls out her hand.

"Young man you can give me something else in return of these fruits".

"All I have is clothing and bottle of water, will that be fine?".

The old woman shook her head in disbelief thinking how people like him can not be rich.

"Heee, aren't you a traveller, young man?".

"I am, I have just left my town, I have no place to stay and I am-"

"My my such trouble in the middle of the day, young man get inside, we'll have to close the store".

"Close the shop?"

~

"Neigh".

The ground rumbled as a group of typical soldiers marched with their horses and swords, smashing and destroying everything blocking their way.

Danning who stood clueless was eventually dragged by the old woman, as she shuts the window down, telling him not to grab their attention and remain silent as possible.

He peeks through the window following the old woman, and witnessed the sight of how the soldiers destroyed the lively market.

He thought to himself, what kind of behaviour this is.

Danning who was born and raised in a very different environment of Yadz, couldn't help but raise his voice at the sight of people being tortured.

"Human! Stop this at once".

The door of the old woman's shop had been wide opened. In the door way Danning stood with his eyes on the man who led the rough soldiers.

"Human, what gives you right to harm them?".

Out in the trouble Danning's voice roared like a thunder, the once loud soldiers were now dead silent. The old woman in shock and the citizens in fear, Danning was sure he could handle it. This must be the heaven's plan, a test he had to succeed. All he had to do was be the hero he is, but before he knew, he was inside a cell, waiting for whatever was to happen.

"What am I supposed to do now". He questioned himself.

~

"Siray, that man was with you, why didn't you stop him".

The night sky appeared, the market once again lively and crowded. The people minding their own business, and those who are nosy can't help but inquire her action.

"Are you his father, if not don't stir problems here".

Clearly this was not something Siray thought she had to deal with, Danning was just a poor traveller, with a poor fate who wanted to play the hero in their crazy land.

All Siray could do was pray to the God's, holding unto the hope that he might he safe even though she knew it was an impossible dream.

"Siray, I'm going to free that man".

There he was, who had recently celebrated his eighteenth birthday. Tall figure, dark black hair, Rulay, the child who had no parents.

"Rulay!", Siray yelled as she turns her back leaving the teen on his own.

But this was not enough, not even a single drop to erase the passion he had,

"I'm sorry Siray".

Rulay, was not going to stop.
