This was not enough, not even a single drop to the passion he had, since Rulay was not going to stop.
"I'm sorry, Siray".
The wildflower who loved the sun
2 | Rulay's dream.
The night in Areneth, a Kingdom where Rulay was born, with a King who had no love, for his people nor his lands. Danning was chained in, and ready to be sacrificed, while rain poured in him, drenched and cold.
Young Rulay at the age of ten lost his parents at a ritual, which they now held every month, it was a ceremony where they sacrifice the poor so that riches come into their lands.
For the rich it was a way to remove the pests from their society, but only the poor knew how fearsome and heartbreaking it was to loose their families.
"Brother Saranam, please take me to the Devil God", Rulay begs.
"Rulay do you even know what you're talking about".
It was common knowledge to the people of Areneth, that there was a fallen God residing deep in the forest. The God who could fulfil any kind of wishes or requests, he could do anything they wanted but with a crazy twist, that they had to pay the price for their wishes.
"Saranam, a traveller was caught while he was helping Aunt, It could've been your mother if not for that man-".
"Rulay..".
Saranam, Rulay's cousin had known Rulay's obsession with helping others, he knows him well that this was finally a good excuse to help someone out of their messy land. Saranam couldn't help but agree to his request as the traveller was merely helping his mother.
"I get it, I'll take you, just be careful of the Demons out there".
~
The wind howled along with the wolves of the Wilds. Wilds, an empire near the borders of Areneth, a land of those who had fallen was where the Devil God reside.
Rulay and Saranam entered the Wild's and walked through the path where Saranam had once visited the Devil God. They walk with prayers of not wanting to meet any other being but him, and just then they heard a girl's scream.
"WHYYYYY!", the girl screamed.
The loud scream of the girl had awaken the whole Wilds, the trees swayed and the grasses danced at the sound of the girl's cry.
"Saranam someone's crying", Rulay says.
Deep in the Empire of Wilds, the cry of a girl in the middle of the night could only mean one thing thought Saranam.
"It must be a demon, we have to hurry".
Without any discussion they both ran the moment they hear the wolves howl getting louder and louder, as they ran and ran only stopping at the bright sight of the lamp hanged in the doors of an old house.
"That's it, that's where he lives!", Saranam coughs.
"Stay here, I'll be right back".
*CREAK*
The old wooden house creaked the moment Rulay entered in. His wet clothes dripping drops of water, leaving traces of wet foot prints and dirt over each step he took.
The house though old, looked clean and warm, Rulay felt as if it was a dream of his past with this parents when everything was allright.
"Kid, how dare you enter my house with those dirty shoes".
"I.. ".
A tall figure, much taller than Rulay, long red hair, few strands on his face. A bowl on his hand, a man in black rope, if this is how demons looked, I would even betray my land thought Rulay.
"I.. I'm looking for the Devil God, are you the Devil God".
The man sighs walking pass Rulay and sits down placing the bowl on the table.
"Uh that's me yeah".
Unlike the rumours, the Devil God did not seem like a God or a demon.
"I need your help, please help me", Rulay bows on his knees.
He did not look powerful or evil, more than a powerful being he looked like a man who does nothing but sprout lies, a con artist, yes, that's what he seemed like.
"Well, let's hear what you have to say first".
~
"General Nahn, I heard your brother caught a beautiful traveller this morning", Sia, the only Princess of Areneth says.
"A traveller in Areneth?, seems like everyone's going crazy outside of the Kingdom too", Nahn laughs.
Princess Sia and General Nahn has always been close, they grew up together along with Nahn's brother and King Arlan, who was just a young Prince back then.
In the crowd of Royalty, beasts and powers, Princess Sia's older brother, became mature in the Palace of Areneth without the shadows of elders or kind supporters.
"Shouldn't we save the traveller?".
"I don't know Sia, we are soon going to end this all anyways, do we really have to".
Princess Sia and General Nahn has planned an ambush in the royal palace. They had set up a trap for the current King Arlan, to start over and build a whole new Areneth without his rules and cruelty.
"Nahn, I want to save that outsider who does not know nothing of our Kingdom, and not only him but every breathing beings".
Sia had always been passionate towards her kingdom, even though she dislikes his brother's actions, Arlan is the only family she has, who raised her into what she is today. She wanted to save him, she wanted to save his brother from the wrath of his own people.
"Sia this isn't-".
"General Nahn, the execution of that traveller has started.. at the market".
~
Chains on his hands, Danning, the one who wants to become a Knight of the Emperor was stuck in land of mortals and soon to be executed.
Danning though learned and prepared for this, for a thousands years, he did not know how to fight the humans. Danning, had never learned the act of hurting others.
"Human, are you going to kill me?".
The guards did not say anything as they stopped walking once they had reached the market place. The tall dark figure of the guard this morning had again showed his presence in the market where people started running and closing their shops.
"Listen, the people of Areneth, this is what happens when you raise your voice against the Knight's of the kingdom". The guard read.
"This will be last day of this traveller who dares to challenge Sir Riang".
"Traveller, now rest in peace".
The windows slightly opened, the children's hidden. They who lived in Areneth listened to what was about to happen.
A man whose name they didn't know, a Knight who'd kill them if they try. In a land where a King does not cares for his people what could they possibly do, but beg to the God, the God's who never showed themselves.
"Sir Knight, even if you kill me, I can not die. It is a useless act, stop in the name of the Heavenly Emperor".
"Shut him up and kill him!".
"Sir Knig-".
