“Can you believe my mom said THAT in front of Cade?” Fiona asked in disbelief to her friend.
“Your mother’s just worried about you. After all, we don’t know much about Cade,” Wendy relayed pragmatically.
Fiona bit her lip, not wanting to hear other opinions on Cade.
Fiona and Wendy were on their way to the morgue where Wendy was working her magic— quite literally— to get them inside to view Reign’s body.
Under the shapeshifted guise of being authority figures, Wendy walked them through the front of the building and past the security officers. Fiona stealthily nabbed the nametag of a worker and checked them into the morgue. It was empty– except for dead bodies of course.
“I don’t know why you didn’t have Sarah Beth help you with this part,” Wendy groaned as she rummaged through the paperwork to find out where Reign’s body was.
Fiona understood Wendy’s distress. She didn’t generally do well in high-stress, high-stake situations like that.
