"You weren't injured?" In the meeting room, separated by an iron table, Aiden stared at Avansa and asked.
"No," Avansa shook her head.
"That's good. Do you have any idea why they attacked you?" Aiden continued.
"They said it was Mother's command," Avansa answered expressionlessly.
It was indeed Meiruki's orders… Aiden was now certain of it.
"Why do you think Meiruki would order them to do such a thing?" Aiden decided to ask for Avansa's opinion.
But Avansa just shook her head: "I... can't think of any."
It was the expected response.
"Let's leave it at that, then. You can go back to your room," he said, concluding the interrogation abruptly.
Meiruki's purpose remained a mystery, but one thing was for sure, the twin killers had indeed been sent into Rose Iron Prison deliberately by her.
