"Hi, princess. Hope your day was a good one?" He bent over and kissed her on the lips. It was only day one of her lying there and he was already missing her.
"I never thought I could ever say this to anyone, but I miss you, baby. I don't know how the month will run through without hearing your voice?"
One could conclude that the Alpha was already smitten by his Luna, and he would do anything for her at this point.
Alex sat there staring at her and smiling like a little fool in love. He could not believe that she was here with him: his mate, someone he had given up on finding a couple of years ago.
He held her hand and said "You are mine, Malia. My Luna, and soon, you will be the mother of my children. I love you, baby."
He bent down and kissed her on the lips again.
It looked creepy, him sitting there and looking at her endlessly as if he wanted to become one with her.
"Later baby, I would like to have a word with Dawson and have my bath too. Your Alpha is famished too."
As he left her room, he adjusted the temperature since it was already darkening outside. He slopped down the stairs to speak with Dawson
"Dawson," Alex called out when he came to the living room.
"Yes, Alpha," Dawson came out of the kitchen in an apron. "Good evening, Alpha," He greeted with a little bow
"How was your day, Dawson?" Alex greeted back. He wanted to find out about his Luna, and how everything transpired throughout the day. "I want to know about Luna's day"
"Of course Alpha," Dawson moved closer to where the Alpha was sitting; he stood straight with his hands folded together at his front. He looked like a soldier reporting to his commander.
"Dr. Henry came by around 9:00 am and gave her treatment through the tubes which were in her body till around midday. By the time he was pulling them out, Ms. Amber arrived, and he instructed her to clean up the Luna.
We both moved out later, leaving Ms. Amber in the bedroom together with Luna. Dr. Henry said that he wouldn't be around for three days and he will be back by...."
"Hold on, what do you mean by Dr. Henry won't be around for three days? If I remember correctly... You know what, dial his number, let me talk to him"
Alex had asked Dr. Henry to be the only physician to tend to Malia, not only because he wanted to keep her away from the public eye, but for safety purposes too. He is the only one that he trusted to keep her safe. He wasn't happy with Dr. Henry, and the decision that he had made without talking to him.
As soon as the call went through, Dawson handed the phone to the Alpha "Dr. Henry, how could you make such a decision about the Luna without talking to me? Who is going is going to look after her for the next few days?"
Dr. Henry had traveled to attend a medical conference that had been organized before he knew of Malia's health condition. He looked between not attending and attending and decided on the latter.
Yes, he didn't inform the Alpha, but he had reasons not to. Had he informed the Alpha, he could swear on his life that the man wouldn't have let him come to the neighboring city.
When he saw Dawson's name pop up on his phone, he knew that the Alpha had been informed about his absence for the next three days.
And much to what he anticipated, the Alpha went all in on the first speech by asking about his choice to leave without giving a heads up.
Dr. Henry wasn't mad that the Alpha had scolded him, on the contrary, he loved Malia like a daughter but her situation wasn't as dire as the Alpha wanted to put it.
"Alpha, I am sorry that I traveled without informing you first, but there is nothing to worry about. The Luna will only need fluids for the next three days. By Saturday, I would be back and feed more nutrients to her through the tubes"

"Not to worry about that Alpha, Maxine, a doctor from the hospital will come in to give her the fluids till Friday, and that would be the last that you see of her. I am sorry for the negligence on my part."
And just like that, Dr. Henry spoke his way out of the tight-marked situation. He could now go about his three days without any worry.
He just prayed that Maxine would keep her mouth shut about anything concerning Malia. Dr. Henry had made her sign a non-disclosure agreement.
He didn't even inform her of Malia's pregnancy. To be safe, he had asked Dawson to buy the medicine that would be used in the fluids, and also that he stay in the room while Maxine administered the fluids.
Dr. Henry trusted Dawson to keep Maxine in check. The woman was a good doctor, but she sometimes forgot her place.
He had received Dawson's call while at the reception area of the hotel, so he had sat down to speak with the Alpha before heading to his room.
He was tired from his flight and needed to sleep in early because the conference started as early as 8:00 am. So, he stood up to head up to his room. This could also be counted as a short leave for him.
