Chapter 25 - Chapter 25

"We are definitely in big trouble, Amber; it's already past eight o'clock. Do you think that Mr. Harold will fire us?" Malia, who didn't want to lose her job, was scared. If she lost her job, it would mean depending on Amber; something she was trying to fight.

"No, silly. And even if the mighty Harold were to fire us, someone would definitely hire us. Look at these beautiful faces and hot bodies. I mean, look at us, baby." Amber joked while putting her arms around Malia's shoulders.

Amber knew they would get scolded, but firing wasn't going to be one of the things they received today.

"Wow, if it's not the princesses of Grandier Palate."

The two girls, who were still bracing themselves for Mr. Harold's scolding, turned only to see the bitchy face of Anatalia. Amber rolled her eyes at her while pulling Malia so they could get in.

"Are you two little nitwits trying to ignore me? I am your senior in this restaurant, you know" Anatalia hated the two girls so much; she didn't see what was so important about them that they were always doing what they wanted.

"Are you stupid? Look around; we ain't in a school. Senior my foot," Amber, who doesn't take things lying down, retorted with a sneer. It was enough that Mr. Harold was going to scold them. Who was Anatalia?

Nudging her friend, Malia whispered in her ears, "ignore her. Let's go in before we get into any more trouble" She was scared that the exchange between the two would be heard by their boss.

"And you ugly thing, what are you whispering in her ears? Are you, by any chance insulting me?

'What a loser,' Malia thought. How can someone just start throwing insults about early in the morning?

"If I were you, I would watch my mouth before shutting it for you. How annoying." Amber pulled Malia inside but still grumbled, "How unlucky for us to meet such a witch this early morning. jeez"

"We both know that you are using her to cool yourself off from the potential scolding that we are about to receive late on," Malia said. However, she knew that her friend was just nervous about later.

"Ha ha ha ha... ha....haaaaaaaaaaa. Hell Sir," Amber, laughing so loud, found Mr. Harold's eyes on her after she looked up.

"Go... goo... good morning, sir." Malia was so scared that she couldn't bring herself to articulate the words well. How nerve-racking

"It's a good morning indeed; I can see all the happiness in your faces. You can't help but laugh out loud HA HA HA," Mr. Harold mocked. He was so angry when they laughed so happily, even when they were late. Couldn't they run in like anyone else and change to start work.

Both girls looked down like little school girls in a principal's office. "Sorry, sir" They just wanted their boss to get out of their faces. How annoying. If it wasn't for that stupid bitch Anatalia, they wouldn't have bumped into their boss like that; especially when they are still in their attires. What a way to start the morning.

"You two will be in charge of all the trash today; let me see or smell anything today; I won't let you off."

"But Sir, there is........"

"Are you trying to argue with me? Now get inside and get to work" Amber was cut off when she tried to justify the fact that the restaurant had two people in charge of taking our trash and informing the company that picked it up if it was complete.

Mr. Harold knew of all this; after all, he was the restaurant manager. He just wanted to punish the two girls so they would start acting well. If it wasn't because both of them were hardworking and beautiful, why would he keep them around?

When the two girls ran into the locker room, Amber was not happy. How can she be taking out the trash? At home, Daniel never let her do it; how can Mr. Harold make her take out the garbage.

"I want to quit today," She said while opening her lock to pick out the waitress's uniform. It was a black skirt, a cream shirt with puffed sleeves, and a ribbon-like tie.

She turned to look at Malia, who was silently dressing up. She had on the skirt and was now buttoning the blouse. Her friend was indeed a beautiful one; look at those hips and the long legs.

Malia was not happy with the punishment, but what could she do? She had nothing to fall back on if she was fired. Yes, she had the job at the cafe, but she wasn't called in yet. Now that she thought about it, she wondered why they weren't calling her yet. She was really gloomy, a change that Amber could see clearly.

Coming to her friend after changing, Amber hugged her to comfort her. She hated that Malia was sad, mainly because of a man like Mr. Harold. If only she could rip his head off. "We won't be losing our jobs, ok" She comforted.

"aww, how touching. What a way to start the week. Hahaha," Anatalia, who was happy about the punishment issued towards the two by Mr. Harold, couldn't help but rub the salt in.

Amber had had enough; she let go of Malia and turned towards Anatalia; she would give her a slap just so she could shut her mouth. Malia, who didn't want any more drama, pulled her friend back towards her and rubbed her back to cool her down.

"She doesn't deserve our reaction," She informed Amber, who so saw sense too.

"Trash is waiting" Anatalia rubbed it in more before she went out of the room.

"Huh huh," Amber screamed softly as they followed her out.
