Chapter 40 - Even if the king of heaven comes—

My knowledge of computer programming had reached an in-depth degree. But if I could measure it by height, it had become an almost immeasurable tower, thanks to my continual experiment and practice. At least now, I could program almost anything, starting from the Nano level to a substantial degree. However, while the computer was simple, humans were overly complex and crafty. Their hearts were like different backpacks—whatever tenacious thing they bore stayed with them. But regardless of their complexity, they couldn't escape my feverish probing. My range of understanding and assimilation method had reached a terrifying level. At least, I have started to delude myself as something more incredible than human. Of course, that's just my baseless crap. Who would believe such nonsense? I think I should also inject my program into president Ling Gen's phone and his subordinates.

Just as I churned my thoughts on how best to tackle the so-called test, I got a call from Li Min.

"Guang Fang, if it is fine, I would like us to meet up right away." She sounded impatient through the phone.

"What's the matter; it is pretty late, you know? It is about 10:00 pm." I said, completely dissatisfied. What sort of horrible request was that? Did she think I was a snail she could pick whenever she wanted? What a joke! However, I knew she wouldn't evade. She was a demon ghost, after all. In fact, she was a disease born to torment other infections.

This sicko didn't even allow me to finish my lamentation before she abruptly ended the call. The next minute, my door alarm was already tormenting my ears. So she called while she was already here. "Does this girl know what they call virtue?" This situation was much to my annoyance; this person was totally defiance of my majesty. She couldn't even give me a space for a free thought process. What was that supposed to mean? My thoughts were rapid. She angered me so bitterly that I felt like exploding out of nothing.

I walked toward the door and opened it with an annoyed expression. Of course, it did not stop the demon from barging into my house like she registered her name as my roommate. I stood there powerless and thoughtless—I was hapless. Who asked me to know that person? She kept thwarting my plans!

Li Min snorted and walked into my room without invitation. "What took you so long to open the simple door. Don't you think it is about time you duplicate your key so that I can enter anytime I want?"

'Enter anytime you want? Who would allow you to do that? You're already driving me insane by coming without a key, not to add when I generously gave you my key.' The very thought of her tormented me. What an irony! This ghost was the enemy of all good things—who said she was quiet? A total lie! If I could auction her for free, I wouldn't hesitate to give the person a free giveaway. My life span would double the moment I made her disappear.

So I looked at this girl in disbelief. There was no way to do such a thankless thing even if she offered me additional three Lives. It was totally crazy to give her a duplicate of my key. That would have been the end of my lazy life. It is already terrible enough that she could come uninvited. Honestly, why was she not satisfied with that benevolence? It was almost costing me half my life. I shook my head. I had to shake off every thought related to the demon.

"Have you figured out the test?" She said indifferently. I'm surprisingly fascinated how this girl switched her persona like a chameleon camouflaging its color. If people were to see this part of her, I am sure they would take their life to feel calm.

"I was thinking on that right now before you came banging into my house with your ridiculous alarm." This girl irritated me to no end.

"Is this how you answer someone who saved you from getting expelled?" she asked flatly.

"What? Are you now a goddess of life? Should I prostrate to show my sincerity? Don't forget; I also helped with the alchemy. How else would you have overcome that obstacle?" We became suddenly stuck in a deadlock.

Do you still want to use this old event to haunt me? Not enough! When I wanted your help, I made sure to give you some benefit so your witch wouldn't come back to haunt me. Alas, I was correct to have prepared that backhand.

'Li Min, you should consider yourself lucky I still had uses for you.' I knew I couldn't deny the truth that I always had the urge to kill this bitch. She was too arrogant and defiant.

"Anyway, this test is weird, and people taking it must have that awareness! Yes, awareness of time. I discovered the intervals between the two tests are different. That's to say that until the end of five days, we cannot begin the next test. Although the restriction is not much; however, no matter how you look for the rapist and its victim, you can't see anything now." I said impassively.

"Hmm, I think so too." Replied Li Min.

"Also, one of the things I understood in the first test is that we should approach the test like a real-life situation. Apparently, the school had taken some measures; it would make the test look more real than acting. So applying some skills will be helpful." I said vaguely. Whether the girl understood it or not would only be her problem. After all, she wouldn't say I didn't provide her clues.

"So, what is your approach to this test?"

"Me? What does it matter what I do? I am insignificant in the class. So I'm only waiting for our blessed geniuses to take the wheel." 'When in the world has anyone given me a task. A mere child wants to order me around. Why don't I stamp on your face directly? In any case, I'm waiting for the best answer.'

"I hope you remember our promise; I've helped you based on that arrangement till now, remember?" Li Min reminded me that I had eaten her forbidden fruits. I was sure this was another near-death experience. I cursed endlessly in my heart. How did I know such a demon? This thing wouldn't do. I needed to break out of this circle as soon as possible.

Li Min spoke again as though she calculated my thoughts: "There is an Island called 'The end of the world.' The place is unique and totally inconspicuous. So without high mental perception, no one can see it. The Island is like a door to another different world, and that world is larger than the whole Thunder country. That's the place where the prince's families stay. Now I have given you yet another forbidden fruit so that you cannot escape."

"Oh, I see," I replied, seemingly uninterested. Meanwhile, deep down, I churned through my thought. That information was worth most of my struggle. However, this information would lead to my extinction if I didn't tread carefully. And for some reason, I needed more concrete information to make a clean map and political structure in my brain. It seemed our partnership was far from being dissolved. She vexed me so much.

"You spoke as if you came from that place." I probe as I stealthily watch all Li Min's body movements. Of course, I have already concluded she came from one of those families. However, why she came was still a mystery. At the same time, whether she was from there or not was only speculation—I needed something concrete.

"what? Don't ask what you shouldn't! If I came from there, then you should serve me without complaining. Isn't that right?" she humph with displeasure.

"Sorry, but even if the king of heaven came down here with all his glory, I wouldn't submit to his ass. Not to mention your hidden prince families; don't even think of suppressing me. If gods came down, I would live under their jurisdictions—as long as they don't suppress me, I won't rebel, but I won't be obeisance to them. No one is worthy of my worship. Put that into your empty skull." I waved my hand, leaving her in a sudden daze.

That's the fact; there was no way I could live above gods rules when I was not the ruler. Even rulers are checkmated. However, there was no need to assume a servant position, either! All I want is to be free to do the things and move around to learn what I craved. In fact, if no one bothered me, I won't even know about their existence.

Li Min looked at me with surprise and then suddenly smiled. It was as though she had suspected I would not bow to anyone. Does that make me handsome? I deluded myself with some foolish praise. In any case, she should better abolish any weird thought she had conceived in her mind.

I took my phone and began to play the recorded test. I deliberately repeated the recording. I had already concluded that—with this method, I could deduce more ways to tackle the exam. In addition, this method was best for seeing flaws. If there were hidden rules and regulations, I could easily catch some of them. As I played the recorded test, I began to grab minor details that I had previously missed out on—or maybe neglected. There were hidden pieces of information covered underneath the veneer of ordinary data. After a while, I stood up and glanced at Li Min, who was only observing me. Then, I push out a slight smile.
