Chapter 16 - Xiu Ying, are you alright?

I decided it was time to pay a unique visit to this esteemed library that the student espoused. The external building was magnificent, like a library tower. It was much to my pleasure. As I entered inside, the library had many divisions and frames holding different unique books—I directly walked to the particular room used for studies in the library. Toa Fen had already told me that she was in one of the rooms. Sighting from a distance, I had already analyzed the current situation when I saw the whole arrangement. Different students occupied this particular section. Part of the occupants was the class B students. I came toward the position of Toa Fen and sat down, thoroughly reserved. It was much to the surprise of Toa Fen. However, she said nothing.

After tackling her thought, Toa Fen immediately wore a satisfied expression, nodding arrogantly. "It is good you can keep up to schedules. This meeting is not about being selfish, but I was trying to read. However, Fu Wei and Xiu Ying deceive people too much—they couldn't give me a break from their noise. I could not understand a thing from what I was reading." Tao Fen remonstrated, directly demonstrating her frustration, even though her complaint was trivial. I knew she was acting, but she performed more genuinely than previously imagined. However, the Toa Fen, I know, was not particularly dull but not intelligent either. In fact, her reading ability was sluggish. It was the same as her determination to be academically outstanding. However, I had to play according to her script.

"I have told you I had no intention of being your errand boy. However, I could not neglect the truth that you had put up a lot of effort to read, and some people wasted it." I was calm as possible. I tried not to get ahead of myself. I cautiously weighed every piece. Naturally, I wasn't afraid of being doomed. It was just a matter of the reason. It would be so disgusting if I fell because of the ploy of a woman. Her two companions said nothing in particular, but they looked like mascots, ready to bring good luck to Toa Fen. I had to wonder: what was the real root of the grievance between Toa Fen and Fu Wei? Is it only the two of them or a general family grievance? Was it hate for nothing? Regardless, I did not want to involve myself too much because I understood that Fu Wei might not be an eyesore. However, it could be other inexplicable things— maybe something bigger was playing behind the scene.

Instantly, Toa Fen hurried me up as we all left our table to the table where the frustrated Xiu Ying and others hopelessly sat as though heaven fell on them. "What do you want again?" Fu Wei, the most frustrated, said surly. Apparently, they must have dealt with each other before Toa Fen called me. Perhaps, Toa Fen thought she couldn't hold the ground, so she called me to be her backer. How wonderful of her to trouble me! However, what did she really expect me to do? It was not like I would begin to beat people for no reason.

"What do you mean by that? Do we look like we are asking for your suggestion here? You disturb the library's peace by being overly noisy, and it is frustrating." Toa Fen was unmoved as her wild eyes showed resistance and determination, much to my surprise.

I looked at them and sighed deeply. If people do not respect themselves, the big deal, get another spot and continue reading. But human beings having arrogance and being sensitive would never want to be disparaged by others. But who am I to consider morality. I was also an unreasonable person. Either way, these troublesome issues helped me kill boredom. If I didn't curse and beat people to satisfaction, there was no way I could feel alive. However, even though my thoughts are as clear as day, that dam gods-mind wouldn't let me taste the victory of worsening people. I didn't want to reform!

"Xiu Ying and Fu Wei, you must be frustrated. You are not even the tiniest bit calm because you panic like a dying chicken. Remember, this place is a reading zone, and it is bad for you to create chaos for others. You're ruffled and clueless on what to do. So take a nap to figure it out in your next life. When you wake in your next life, you can attack the problem from another angle." I suggested, wearing a veneer smile.

Fu Wei was instantly disgusted. It was as if he received a piece of advice from a fool. In fact, this person saw me like an ant, not worthy of his consideration. He flashed his leopard eyes in front of me majestically, but as his eyes met mine—they furtively held a different meaning. It was the first time I had noticed that people hide deeper than they look. Their veneer self might confuse others but not me. However, it was a paradigm shift for me. Perhaps, he did show his strong self in front of the girl to protect his terrifying personality. He must want this girl and the guys around to think he was capable and intelligent. Does he perhaps feel insulted because I consoled him with my dimension-reaching advice? I was puzzled. However, this was a trivial concern.

He wanted to lash out at me but was held back by Xiu Ying. "Since we're literally out of options, I believe you can help us, yes?" Xiu Ying inserted, trying to calm herself. However, everyone turned their eyes on me, looking at me with pity, except Fu Wei, who looked at me with contempt as he snorted coldly. In any case, the compassion others held was only a pretense. At this point, even the three Heng Da laughed out loud.

"Of course not! Who am I? Well, to put it simply: I am no one! But it's interesting. Perhaps, I should disable you so won't play high intelligent cards with me."

Huh!

Everyone marveled at my answer and boldness, but they soon recovered their senses. It made sense now because even their teacher described me as a hooligan. What did they even expect from a nuisance like myself? However, Xiu Ying persisted like a blood-sucking fly.

"Don't get me wrong. I am not trying to put you in a difficult position. I just honestly need support." Xiu Ying tried to brush off all suspicion. Whether she intended to rattle me out or was just purely genuine—I could not determine it now. After all, people show their true selves under various circumstances. Still, some people hide deeper than others.

I sighed!

"Well, I cannot determine this solution would be right. After all, I got this limited solution coincidentally." I concluded with a breath as I handled the pen and the paper in front of me— I scribbled on it. Soon, I finished the solving, it looked rough and more complicated, and even now, the result was almost hidden. I placed the answer at the beginning of the equation. To be precise, I solved the equation from a reversed point of view. This result would excuse me as unintelligent and stupid. I sneered inside. In fact, in a true sense, I was solving the doubt that Xiu Ying held in her heart about me (or so I had hoped).

Instantly, the three students of Heng Da burst into mocking laughter while Fu Wei felt satisfied with my embarrassment. Seeing the intensity of the problem, Toa Fen and her clique went out in a hurry, seemingly dissatisfied. They thought I intentionally added salt to their injury, but at any rate, it worked. Somehow, I didn't take my phone that was on the table when I solved the equation as I rushed toward Toa Fen and her friends. I spent a few minutes trying to talk my way out. But did I really need to spend much effort? But in fact, I was only playing their game: this Toa Fen wanted to set herself on fire, and it was only deserving and natural to help her.

When I arrived back, I picked up my phone and left. Xiu Ying was in a daze. Not just because of the solving but because she had peeked through my phone while I was gone. I have a chess game in which I was at the expert level. Also, I was unbeatable. No one had reached the expert level—not even a soul in the whole thunder nation. And in fact, the identity of the newly appeared expert level was a mystery. No matter anyone's level of smartness, they only stop at a professional status. The game was too hard, and they divided it into the basic, intermediate, professional, and expert tiers. Each tier had its sub-levels, and I was at the limit of expert level. Honestly, if there appeared a level higher than the expert tier, I would have occupied it. Coincidentally, Xiu Ying played this particular chess game, but she was only on the professional level—beginner sublevel. At this point, her doubt about me was clearing slightly. I had roasted myself by myself.

Fu Wei smiled contemptuously while the three Heng Da laughed almost loudly. The only reason they had held back was simple; this place was a library. Suddenly, Fu Wei noticed Xiu Ying staring at the piece of paper with interest while she had various quick flickers of expressions. "Xiu Ying, are you alright." He asked concernedly.

"I am fine." She replied flatly.
