Chapter 22 - Crafty.

There was no way I would believe that they had fallen out. There must be some merit attached to this meeting. Anyway, there was no way I would know anything without meeting this shrewd. I wonder what game she intended to play with me. 'This school's third-year ghost are really testing their limit. I will give them a taste.' My thoughts never betrayed my calm expression.

We arrive at a relatively quiet canteen in the school. The school scattered canteen almost everywhere in the surrounding. Students didn't only use them for eating but for discussing relevant matters. Most people use these canteens for group assignments and study groups which the school did not permit in the library due to their nature or size. It was also a better place that makes one relax and eat as one study or share a fancy atmosphere with their close one.

We sat at the farther end of the canteen with our drinks; Yue Si smiled with satisfaction. She didn't look bad, but she was dangerous (I advised myself). They all come harmless at first before they show their capability. Seeing people like them wear a veneer smile that hid their ugly interior, I praise myself for being upright. At least I'm genuine.

"Alright, what do you want, senior?" I was impatient but still spoke harmlessly.

Contrary to my impatience, this shrewd was calm and enduring, much to my annoyance. However, I never betrayed any of it in my expression. Yue Si sipped her drink gently like I never existed.

"I'm in no need. Relax." She spoke unhurried and sipped her soft drink like a classic lady.

I can't deny she wasn't bad, but her temperament was far worse than Li Min. That girl needn't force herself to bring her noble air. Simultaneously, I hardly appreciate beauty as I dwell in destruction. The art of destruction was much more intriguing than beauty fantasy—I have no leisure.

Seeing that I remained quiet to hear her plan, she smiled. Of course, even though her culturing was far off from Li Min's, she had a more mature air—it was profound.

"I understand that Lin Gen wants you to stay away from Miss Min. However, even if you agreed to do that, you still met up with her. Why? Were you deceiving Lin Gen?"

Her words had many hidden meanings under the veneer of warning. It made me wonder what her real thought was. At the same time, I began to churn out several processes and outcomes. 'No woman would want to help another man win another woman when they actually love that man. This person here might have spoken like she supported Lin Gen, but there was more.' I reckoned. 'Then let's put it to test. Whether I prove it right or wrong wouldn't cause any irreversible change.'

"You like the president, don't you?" I spoke calmly. However, I stealthily watched her expression. The shock couldn't escape my feverish probing even though she quickly recovered her mood.

"Are you joking?" Her voice was cold, pulling down the canteen's temperature to a few degrees.

However, she neither agreed nor disagreed—a tactic that reduce more suspicion. After all, if she had started to defend herself, she would have given an obvious answer. In any case, she wasn't skilled enough for a ruffian like me. I've been in war zone countless times, and I've mastered what people did for survival. At the same time, I had improved more than my anticipation because of the golden stele in my body.

"You don't have to try so hard: I won't tell a soul. Of course, no need to wonder how I knew about it either." I stood up and brought my card for her to scan. "I can help you get him, and we will have a long-time partnership. It's a win-win."

She wanted to keep denying it, but I've directly stripped off all her defense. She could only bring out her phone and scan the barcode behind my identity card with a capitulated sigh.

When I understood I had succeeded, I retrieved my card with a calm smile. Now, I held a bargaining chip; let's see what her game was. At this moment, Yue Si couldn't look at me directly—she was ashamed.

"The President has large network support, ranging from students to teachers. I don't know how you want to deal with him, but I don't want him expelled."

"What is his network of support?" I asked directly, ignoring her condition.

"His highest support is his uncle. He is a superintendent of the education board—he held a considerable amount of power. He has some subordinates in the second year and the third year. Moreover, most first-year are under his flag. His method of recruiting and controlling them all came from his uncle. Even the principal won't embarrass him without any reason."

Hmm!

I began to analyze Ling Gen's good points and his terrible points. Honestly, how to deal with him had to be a little troublesome but wasn't impossible. 'Everyone has flaws.'

"Can I ask this personal question? After all, we are allies now, and for me to help you, I probably have to understand EVERYTHING."

Yue Si looked at me strangely. In fact, she couldn't believe she had fallen for my trap, and now she didn't have the power to contest. She tried to maintain her expression, but I knew she was far from calm.

"Ask! If I can answer, I will naturally do."

"Senior, why do you love the President? Is it because of his power, personality, or deep background?"

Yue Si fell silent for a while, contemplating if it was alright to answer that question or not. After all, it wasn't like the question was abnormal. Although it was a personal question, there wasn't any abnormality attached to it.

"You don't have to answer it if you aren't comfortable," I suggested.

"I love everything about him, including his influence and background."

Hmm! Even though she loved everything, influence and background took preeminence. Reasonably, no one could blame her: who doesn't love those material things.

"Then this question would strike where it hurt, but it would give me a clearer picture and how to arrange my plans. Of course, I strangely might have concluded on that answer already, but I wanted to confirm. Do you want to hear this question?" I said chirpily.

She became silent again as she weighed herself and weighed me. In fact, she must be wondering how the scared person she saw that night became an astute lion suddenly. She nodded her head gently.

"It couldn't be more obvious that he can't sleep with you because he doesn't like you, but it is still possible he might only use you to relieve stress. I don't know much about those intimate stuff. However, if I offer you a chance to seduce him and probably have sex with him, can you do it? Are you confident you can seduce him to your bed?"

I wasn't just asking a question—I was defiantly challenging her. I wanted to know her limit: what can she do to get what she wanted. She looked at me like a ghost. However, I was mirthless. I wasn't about to start a joke with her.

This question made her frown. She wanted to stand up, but we were already deep in our conversations, and it wasn't something she could stand up and pretend never to have happened.

"We just met: how do you expect me to pass on such heavy information to you?"

"We are using it to solve our current predicament. You might think you are helping me; however, you're helping yourself. After all, I am only Li Min's servant, and she needs me for something. If she were to know that some group of third-year students threatened me, they would leave the school the soonest." I said mirthlessly.

"You are servant? You even joke at a time like this! In fact, you're more dangerous than what I heard. Although I don't know your relationship with that girl, it's nothing subservient. Either way, passing this information is not something I want to do."

I stood from my seat and was about to leave. "I already have most of the answer to that question, and your reaction just now confirmed it. I reckon you rather say nothing than told lies."

I sparked another cord. Each time I hit the correct string, I notice changes in expression. However, this shouldn't have occurred If this girl was as clever as I thought because lying should have fitted her like a glove. Then, why was she all truthful? I began to rearrange my thought.

"I can sleep with him if that would make us stay together, but I've never had the chance to do that. Besides, we are students, and we don't have such weak regulation that allows us to behave the way we want."

"You must trust me to tell me many things, senior. In front of me, your defense seems to be very weak: I wonder why."

'Senior? I can't remember who is senior now. Keep pretending! It is no wonder a lot of people saw him as harmless.' Yue Si thought.

"It's nothing. So how do you help me?" She asked.

"We'll meet up again—there are too many eyes here," I said before turning towards the exit. I had to take control of the girl's weakness. Every shrewd must come across someone more clever.
