[Vereena]
I watch the sun slowly peak into the sky, casting its light into the world. My toes dig deeper into the sand as the fresh breeze from the morning blows my hair around the back of my head. I haven't got any sleep, not even a blink. The remainder of the time was spent with me staring at the roof of the cave and listening to the crackling of the fire.
The crew roused before the sun, and I told Callum that I won't be with them venturing into the wild, deeming that I would only be useless and probably slow them down. Edric presented that he would stay with me, but I insisted that he would go with them. I couldn't deprive the boy of his sense of adventure.
