The following day, Ava, Maddie, and Layla met up at a restaurant to have Layla's favorite French fries, just like Ava had promised Layla.
"Hey Ava," Layla said with a little bit of too much excitement when she saw Ava and Maddie walking into the restaurant.
"Hey Layla, how are you doing?" They both blew each other a kiss on the cheek making Maddie roll her eyes because a few months ago her friend didn't do such. But now she was gradually blending into her new world.
Ava turned to Maddie, "Layla meet my best friend, Maddie. Maddie, Layla, my course mate."
Layla tried to blow Maddie a kiss on her cheek but Maddie pulled her into a hug instead. "Sorry, I'm a huger," Maddie said.
"That's okay," Layla said smiling as she pulled away from the hug. "I like your hair," Layla said complementing Maddie's hairstyle.
"Thanks, I did it myself," Maddie said with pride.
"Maddie is a hair stylist," Ava chipped in.
