Nesunpo opens the hatch and leaves the destroyed prison.
Joki walks ahead and puts his hand through the portal.
He quickly notices that the portal is a clear walk through with no risks involved.
'Really? It's that simple, it seems safe, but you can never be too certain with things like this.'
"You guys! I'm gonna walk through this portal first, just to see if anything is up."
Double, Reima, and Kazu all oblige without any back and forth.
Joki quickly walks through the portal, and as he does, the portal begins to twitch out of control.
Double jumps at the portal in hopes to try to get through and help Joki. But before he can reach it it shuts.
"Damn it! I knew it wasn't safe, Joki's in trouble if we don't find a way to open this portal."
"In trouble?!"
Suddenly, Joki manages to open a portal out of nowhere, making it even wider, as they can now see the eternal black void sky devoid of stars or any source of light.
Double quickly notices in the distance torches that are emitting red light.
"What...the hell is this place. The entire sky is pitch black, and the only thing emitting light are those torches."
"Yeah, it's quite creepy isn't it? That's why we've trained the way we did. We will be fine as long as we stick together."
Joki signals the group to come through the portal, and all of them go forward entering.
Double stops, he turns around and looks at the underground prison one last time before stepping through with the rest of them.
Kazu gets further from the portal, he quickly notices that the world stretches as far as the eye can see, with an unfathomable expanse of land that seems to have no end.
"This is strange, as endless as this place seems, it completely lacks Reiki. Though I do find it strange, it can't be possible that we are the only ones here, right?
"That's because you aren't!"
As Joki finishes talking, he turns to the right and notices a blonde haired Hispanic man wearing a white jacket and raggedy pants.
He pulls out a staff out of thin air, and puts on a wide smile for all of them to see.
"My name is Luda! I'm so glad to meet new people. It feels like it's been forever since someone has visited."
"Luna is it? It's nice to meet you, sir. Thank you for the warm welcome."
As Double goes in for a handshake, Luda slaps Double's hand and crosses his arms.
"It's rude to mispronounce the name of someone who is welcoming you. My name is Luda!"
"I just said that, your name is Luna right?"
"Luda!"
"Luna!"
The two proceed to go back and forth before Reima steps in the middle of them.
She sticks her hand out nervously to handshake Luda.
"I apologize for him, he's a bit ignorant in the head. My name is Reima it's nice to meet you."
"Thank you so much, kind lady. It's nice to meet someone who can speak properly."
Luda says this while holding Reima's hand gently,
Luda, let's go of Reima's hand and proceeds to walk forward as the group decides to follow him.
"It's strange that you are being so kind to us especially since we came out of a random portal. Do you wanna explain that to us?"
Luda stops and turns his head to Kazu.
"Well, like I said, it's nice to see some new faces around this dark and gloomy place. Also, it's my job to be respectful and kind to everyone I meet."
"This world is different from our world completely, but it doesn't seem like the people are too bad. I wasn't expecting to meet any humans though."
Angrily, Luda stares at Kazu.
He puts his hand out in front of him showing his palm to him.
"You think just because we come from two different worlds that were so different. I'm human, just like you guys, we are humans who live here, we just didn't get the good end of the stick like you did.
"Yeah, I'm sorry, I understand now. I still do have another question though, why can't we sense any Reiki here?"
"Reiki, what the hell is that?"
Kazu looks at the man with confusion along with Double, Joki, and Reima.
Joki sticks his head at Luda.
"In our world, we have a way of manipulating aura in our bodies that allows us to use certain abilities. Do you people not have that?"
"Oh you must mean Psycheia, i see, so even our power is different from you people as well. Psycheia is what powers us, but it works differently here. It is deeply rooted in the connection between the physical and spiritual realms."
Double lifts his head up in shock, and closes his eyes for a second.
He appears in the unknown world full of orbs, and sees Sylphs standing there.
"Hey Sylphs, what is Psycheia?"
"I've definitely heard of it, but I can't put my finger on what exactly it does. But for some reason it sounds familiar."
Double begins to open his eyes in disappointment that he couldn't get any information.
"How is it possible to achieve this power Luda?"
"Only those who are born here or have been taught it by someone with extreme proficiency of it. I don't possess any psycheia as I am considered defective."
"That's harsh, you shouldn't talk down to yourself like that you know."
Luda turns to Joki with a face full of confusion.
"What's wrong with being defective?"
Joki stares back at him with the same look as he ignores the question and continues walking.
Luda notices this, but doesn't bother to ask again, and continues walking as well.
They finally arrive at a massive kingdom. The architecture is a perverse blend of grandeur and decay, with towering spires adorned with grotesque statues and intricate carvings depicting scenes of suffering and torment.
"Damn this place looks beat up."
"Do not show such disrespect to the place that we live! We are proud of the way that we live."
"Seriously, I've had enough of these kingdoms."
As Double finishes his sentence, Luda begins to run forward ahead of everyone and turns around with a excited face.
"All of you, welcome to my home the Eternal Parsing."
