Chapter 36 - From Bad to Terrible

The master has finally arrived, and he enters the room with a very confident smile on his face. He approaches Luda, extending his hand.

"My name is Jiro, you must be Luda. I always see you running around trying to make sure newcomers feel comfortable. How admirable of you."

Luda is left speechless, completely stunned by Jiro's unexpected entrance.

Kazu, taken aback by Jiro's unsettling power, takes a step back.

"This guy...he gives off an eerie vibe. Just who the hell is he anyways?"

Jiro notices that Kazu is visibly uncomfortable, and becomes intrigued by Kazu's fear.

Double shares a similar sentiment, and tries to keep his distance away from Jiro.

"That's strange, we have just met, and yet you two are already so anxious. What is there to be afraid of?"

Joki keeps his composure, and stands in front of Jiro with no fear, this fearless attitude from Joki catches Jiro's attention.

"Although we can't sense any power from this guy, his mere presence has the ability to alter the entire atmosphere around us."

Jiro continues to smile after hearing Joki, and proceeds to walk closer to Double, Joki, Reima, and Kazu.

"Well, this is beyond shocking, what a delight! It's been ages since I was able to find not just one, but four individuals capable of withstanding my presence. It is quite puzzling though, you 4 don't emanate any power. What's that about?"

Luda steps in front of them though, panting and sweating profoundly.

"They come from a different world, their powers manifest differently than ours, sir."

Fascinated, Jiro wears an expression of wonderment.

"Is that so? How wonderful then. I would be pleased if you could elaborate on your powers than."

However, Double takes charge of the situation, he looks Jiro in the eyes with a cocky smile.

"It's none of your concern how our powers work, you are asking a lot of questions without telling us anything about yourself."

"Double! What did I tell you about that? This isn't our place to speak so rudely, even if this guy is really creepy. "

As Joki scolds Double, Jiro begins to laugh out loud, alerting the entire room.

"There's no need to scold that boy, and there's no need to have any worry at all. Soon enough, your concerns will become insignificant."

This statement immediately captures the attention of everybody in the room. Suddenly, Jiro places his hand on Luda's head, causing him to vanish effortlessly, without a second though.

Enraged, Double's anger begins to ignite. Kazu steps forward and begins to pull his sword out.

"Can we finally attack this guy? He didn't exactly give off a 'nice guy' vibe!"

As Kazu finishes speaking, in the blink of an eye, Kazu teleports above Jiro, wielding his blade charged with dark, black reiki.

"Yin!"

As Kazu utters this word, he swings his sword at Jiro, which he effortlessly dodges. However, Kazu's attack destroys the entire wall behind him.

"I see, that ability looks like it increases his power. The rest of them, I can't sense a thing, but with this kid...I can sense him even just a little."

Jiro then counterattacks Kazu by jumping in the air and attempting to kick him which in the process destroys the entire building, but this kick is easily dodged by Kazu as he begins to rush out of the destroyed building for more space.

"Yang!"

Undeterred, Kazu utters another word and begins to run at Jiro with astounding speed. He swings his sword at Jiro, but Jiro barely manages to move out of the way.

"Amazing, when he says the word Yin, his attack power is heavily increased, but when he says the word Yang, his speed is increased. In that instant, he was moving faster than light itself."

Swiftly, Jiro rushes in and disarms Kazu, but before he can make a move, Double swoops in.

"Seismic Tempest!"

Powerful gusts of wind surge forth, followed by a charged shockwave which forces Jiro to back away from Kazu.

Joki walks forward, and does a sigh of frustration.

"Being creepy is one thing, but being mysterious is another thing. Where the hell did you bring Luda?"

"Don't worry about where I brought him, but just know he isn't in any danger...yet."

Joki hears this, and begins to charge his Reiki, bringing his sword out. Before he can make a move Double puts his hand in front of Joki.

"Joki...as much as I wanna hurt this guy, it wouldn't make sense for any of us to hurt him. He has Luda....we have to find out where he is."

Joki stops charging his Reiki, and drops to the ground as he closes his eyes.

"You are beyond frustrating, you know that, alright I give up...Double I wanna see how you are gonna handle this."

Taking a step forward, Double begins locking eyes with Jiro, his unwavering confidence shining through.

"How can we bring Luda back, if there wasn't a way of bringing him back? You wouldn't have gone through the trouble of telling us any of that. It's our fault Luda is in this mess, we have to help him."

"You are indeed correct boy."

Jiro is impressed by Double's audacity, and begins to do a hand ritual.

"Though, retrieving Luda will not be a easy task. Luda has been transported to a treacherous world where a perilous game created by me is about to commence."

Kazu hearing this walks towards them, and notices Double standing firm. His lock on Jiro's eyes has not wavered at all.

'Damn, whenever he makes that face...there really isn't any changing his mind now is there.'

However, Reima runs toward Double. Tugging on his arms.

"Double...you have to realize that you are entering enemy territory here. This isn't safe."

"Reima...a true leader ensures not a single person is left behind, regardless of how difficult it may be."

Double's words leave Reima speechless, Jiro finishes his hand ritual and creates a crack in the air with a opening.

"If you truly wish to save that boy, you will have to survive this game right alongside him. Are you prepared?"

"Do I have your word...that this entrance is the only way to this game?"

"You have my word boy."

Joki stands up, and walks beside Double with a smile on his face.

Kazu, and Reima reluctantly follow behind Double and prepare to enter.

"Double..."

"Reima, I promise. You have my word I won't let anything happen to you okay."

Reima's worried face turns into a face of relief. Joki overhears them, and his smile becomes wider.

"Whenever things look rough, she always goes to him for relief. Those two are a dynamic duo."

Resolute, the four companions exchange nods, and step through the portal, venturing into the unknown.
