Lucas was beyond frustrated as he stalked out of the house. He knew there was no making any headway especially when it came to Kara and her trust issues. Once she had a cause not to trust you anymore, it was bye bye for good.
''Any luck?''
Lucas didn't need to turn around to know that it was Paulo who spoke. At the beginning, he was quite surprised that the older man had allowed him into the house. From the very beginning, Lucas knew that Paulo knew all about his coming here and for the first time when they saw this morning, he wasn't quite surprised.
''No, she's mad and when i mean mad, livid.'' Lucas sighed.
He finally turned to face him and the look in his eyes was one of pain and sadness. He hated feeling this way, hated this feeling of loneliness. Kara was so close yet far away and there was no hope of him ever breaching the invisible wall that had come between them.
''Give her some time, i'm sure she'll come around.'' Paulo said.
