''They didn't manage to get anything right?'' Kara asked.
They had just gotten back from the operation and were now in the grand hall with Paulo who wanted to hear all about the operation. From seeing their faces alone, he knew that their operation had gone very smoothly. If it hadn't, Kara would no doubt be crossed and even livid.
Paulo couldn't quite understand it but he knew when she was angry, sad or even happy. It was an innate feeling within him that couldn't be quenched. Right now, he knew she was quite satisfied at the success of the operation.
''How did it go?'' Paulo asked.
''Splendid.'' Kara said.
She began to give him all the details of the operation. As she spoke, she was quite glad to see the pleasant look on his face. Kara didn't even want to think about what could have happened if the operation had turned out to be a disaster. No doubt, it would have been very awful and that might even quicken her father's death.
