Charlie returned home much later that night. For several days now, he had been keeping late nights, only returning home when he had completed all of his tasks back at the office. It wasn't because he enjoyed doing the work, far from it but it was due to the fact that he was trying desperately to avoid getting home early and meeting Emily or worse, Louis.
What had happened was something that couldn't easily be forgotten. It would take a very long time before the wounds were healed and what's worse, Charlie didn't think he was ready for any of that because he knew that healing would be a very difficult thing to accomplish.
