Zeus was breaking down the situation to the both of them. But then he suddenly brought up another person.
She was supposed to be Akatsuki's sister created from his research data.
Both of them were angry. So angry that they would've murdered Zeus.
But they didn't. They kept their anger in check and asked Zeus.
Mizuki asked first,
"So why does he have to go before they meet each other?"
Mizuki was speaking in an ice cold voice. So cold that even Zeus felt a chill. But Momoko was no good either.
"Well, you see, she was created to be the best. What Akatsuki couldn't become. But as long as he's alive, she won't be the only one. So she was ordered to kill him. She's coming here. To kill him." Zeus said.
The story was getting weirder. It left the realm of common sense a while ago. But now it's trying to break the reality.
Mizuki didn't say anything and Momoko was looking like she had nothing to ask anymore.
"Umm.. are we done?" Zeus meekly asked.
But they didn't say a single word. They just smiled. A completely lifeless smile which was scarier than death.
Zeus thought that he should escape while he has the chance.
"Well I will be going now. Let's meet tomorrow. Lunch. On me." He said and left.
Leaving like a storm, he didn't just leave, he saved himself.
Left only the two of them, they sat down on the bed.
"What a story!" Momoko said in exasperation.
"Yeah. It's getting harder and harder to leave." Mizuki replied to her.
"Let's see what we can do. We have to do something." Momoko said.
"Yeah. Otherwise he might do something again." Mizuki was worried that Akatsuki might do something weird again.
"But, another sister? Isn't your position in danger?" Momoko asked Mizuki while grinning.
"No. I am his only sister. He doesn't need someone else." Mizuki stated it like it was the obvious.
"Ohh. Quite the confident girl. But we have to see this girl too. Why is she doing it? And we have squeeze everything out of Zeus. He still hasn't told us everything." Momoko said.
"Yes. I agree with that. And if it's possible I would like to go to the other world with him." Mizuki said.
"Me too." Momoko closed her eyes and said that while grinning.
Both of them were imagining things that were morally questionable.
Momoko and Mizuki slept that night normally. But early in the morning, they woke up.
Not woke up, it's better to say woken up.
Someone was at their door.
Mizuki looked at the clock while rubbing her eyes.
"It's only 5:30 in the morning. Who is here this early?" She said while yawning.
"Maybe it's him. Let's take a look." Momoko said.
They went downstairs to see that her mother is also there.
She was about to open the door when they went there.
"Mom who is it?" Mizuki asked.
"Let's see." She opened the door.
What all of them saw wasn't something they expected.
It was a girl. She had black hair and was wearing a black jacket with jeans.
A very delinquent like person. But what surprised them was that she was carrying someone on her shoulders.
"May I enter?" She asked.
Although she gave off a very delinquent like feeling, her voice was feminine and her tone was polite.
Maybe she was one of those don't judge the book by it's cover cases.
Mizuki's mother who was dumbfounded stood there while Mizuki prompted.
"Yes." She said.
The girl entered with the person on her shoulders.
When they entered, they took a closer look and saw that it was a man.
He was covered in bandages. Maybe he was hurt. But upon closer inspection, Mizuki saw that it was Akatsuki.
"Wait, why is he on your shoulder?" Upon noticing Mizuki asked her.
"Oh, he's just asleep. He won't get up no matter how many times I wake him up. So I carried him here." She said.
"What?" Mizuki was stunned for a bit.
Her mother who was in shock till then finally came to her senses.
"Wait, who are you?" She asked.
"Well I am his sister." She pointed at him who was on her shoulder.
She took a look and took a few steps behind.
"His sister?" She muttered.
"Yes. So should I call you mother or something else?" She asked her.
But she couldn't answer. It looked like she was still in shock.
But Mizuki and Momoko soon recovered from the shock.
"Why did you bring him here?" Mizuki asked.
"Well, I was out but didn't have anywhere to go. So I came here. Also, his lifespan is already spent. So he will die soon." She said.
"I know that. But the problem is why are you trying to kill him?" Momoko asked her.
"Kill him. Who is trying that? I am protecting him. From himself." She said.
"Protect him? But Zeus told us that you are trying to kill him?" Mizuki said.
"That man! How many times do I have to spell it out that I am not gonna kill him." She said with an annoyed face.
Everyone fell silent for a moment when Akatsuki who was on her shoulder woke up.
"Put me down." He said.
"Oh. You woke up." She said.
"How many times I told you that don't carry me like that." He said after getting off her shoulder.
He stood with the bandages. He looked like more like a mummy, covered in bandages for the most part.
"So I am back here again." He said touching his temple with his right hand.
"Huh." He let out a deep sigh.
"Let's end this." He said and grit his teeth.
"End this? End what?" Mizuki asked.
"This farce of course. How many times has it been? How many years has it been? That guy always messed up and created this. So let's end this." He said.
He was about to snap his fingers when he was caught by Momoko.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"Stopping you. I have a feeling that you are going to do something." She said.
But she wasn't wrong. He was about to do something.
"Yeah. I am about to stabilize this world. While it was perfect, an irregularity occurred. So I am fixing it from the the get go. Then goodbye. You won't remember me and I won't be here." He said.
He then turned to his mother who was still staring at the blank.
"Your nightmare will be over. So be sure raise both my sisters well." He said.
It was like he was saying his final goodbyes.
Then he was going to snap his fingers but Zeus came.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"Yes. I have already made a deal. This time it'll go perfect. Don't interfere." He warned him.
He pulled back.
And he snapped his fingers. A sound resounded through the world and everything went back in time.
And just like that the boy named Akatsuki disappeared from the world and the world had its time rewound.
The boy named Akatsuki was nowhere to be found. The world went back to how it should've been.
But a few things changed. Mizuki who was supposed to be an only child got another sister. Akatsuki's sister who was supposed to be an artificial human was born as a human.
Her name was Nana. So Mizuki and Nana were siblings and Minori were there friend.
A world which had no idea about the existence of gods and chaos and Akatsuki.
This was how it should have been.
But in the year 2023, a weird thing happened.
A spatial quake. The space over the country of Japan collapsed and it became a gateway.
A gateway to another world. Through which came humans from another world.
The humans were basically the same. But with humans came monsters.
Beings of legends. And they ran rampant.
It took two years to solve that problem. In the year 2025 the problem was resolved and a new relationship began.
This world and the world on the other side became neighbors and started to develop through cooperation.
And then 3 years later Mizuki was a college student.
Momoko graduated from college and was a office lady.
They were leading their lives normally. Until one day.
