Chapter 11 - Chapter 10

The girls were at their house. They were apparently sitting in the hall room and were about to go out.

But they felt a slight dissonance. Like they were forgetting something important.

"Hey you two," asked Aisha,"do you feel anything abnormal?"

"I think. But I can't quite figure it out." Said Leah scratching her cheek.

Belle was staring at her sword.

"Anything wrong?" Aisha asked.

"No. But I feel like my sword feels a little different." She said.

Leah and Aisha also felt a little different.

Like they had some knowledge that they should not have.

"Something strange happened. But no one can figure out?" Aisha said.

But they didn't think too much into it and left for the guild.

That how a new legend was born. And a year went by.

In that one year those girls became too strong. They were strong and talented.

But somehow after that day, they grew. At an explosive rate at that.

They became highly accomplished adventurers. They were all individually S rank. And as an party too.

They became the top strongest. No one could oppose them.

They slaughtered dragons single handedly.

They took care of demons. Also single handedly.

It was like they became gods. No human could oppose them and the king declared them as heroes.

But even after all that, they still had that feeling.

Like they were still forgetting something.

"How to say this.." Aisha wanted to say something.

They were currently living at their new house.

They were given new houses as the heroes. So they lived at one.

"It's still bothering me." Aisha said it.

"Yes. I want to find out." Leah said.

"My sword. It's not normal." Belle said while clenching her sword.

"Then let's go to the place." Aisha said.

A place that came in to their mind. That same old grass plains.

They went there but with the teleportation spell.

Leah gained knowledge of ancient and lost spells. So she practiced and started using those.

Soon they disappeared from their room and appeared in a grass plains.

It was the same plains from before. But they couldn't understand why it felt so familiar.

"This place feels so familiar. Like we've been here. But this is just our second time." Aisha said.

They followed their whims and ended up here one day. All three of them.

But at that time they were busy. So they left without looking.

"Yes. It's true." Belle said.

"True. But I can't feel anything. Like there is nothing here." Leah said.

Leah was using magic to look for presence.

"But this place is calming. Let's sit." Aisha proposed.

Belle and Leah nodded in agreement.

They all sat down on the grass. The wind was gently blowing. Brushing their bodies.

The sun was up and shining. But it was gentle. It felt nice sitting like that.

Those three relaxed and spread out their legs.

"Hey, the demons have been more active lately." Belle said.

"The gods oracle said that the demon king will revive in a few months." Leah said.

"But humans are quite lax. They say that they can summon heroes too." Aisha added.

"That's true. Then we'll be the heroes party." Belle said.

Their party is the strongest. So they will be chosen to guide the heroes.

"I am actually hoping to see female heroes." Aisha said.

"Me too." Belle said with a chuckle.

Those three sat there for a long time and relaxed. At one point they even dozed off to sleep.

When they woke up, it was already dusk. So they left.

After a month after that day, the heroes were summoned.

But to everyone's shock only two heroes arrived.

Furthermore, they were women. Both had black hair and was fare.

After being summoned, they were confused naturally. But they listened to everything and decided to help.

Those two heroes were Mizuki and Momoko.

After one day of being summoned, they were introduced to the people.

Everything was going well and they were introduced to their party.

It was as expected, the party of Aisha.

When they met each other, they stared at each other.

Finally Mizuki said,"Do I know you?"

"I get that feeling too. But we should not. You were just summoned." Aisha said.

"Still this feeling that I know you." Mizuki said.

Momoko also voiced the same opinion.

It was truly weird. But they put it aside for the time being.

Because, they have to train.

Hence their training began.

When the humans summon a hero to defeat a demon king, a god guides them.

This time it was Selene. She is the one in charge.

The heroes namely Mizuki and Momoko were training with Aisha and co.

They still had an icy air between them. But their training was going smooth.

For training about two weeks they went to gain practical experience.

They were in charge of exterminating a horde of monsters. It was at the forest right outside the city.

The monsters were no big deal. The heroes both had excellent strength and magic capacity.

They exterminated the monsters in a matter of minutes. They were not even afraid of them.

Aisha wondered. Because the heroes were too accustomed to fighting.

So she wanted to ask them.

"Did you fight before?"

"No. This was our first time fighting." Mizuki and and Momoko nodded.

"But you guys look too comfortable. Like they are not even serving as warm up." Aisha pointed the fact.

"I don't know. But someone I feel like I can do it." Mizuki said.

"But that feeling still lingers. Like I am forgetting something." Momoko said with a frown.

Hearing this Aisha thought if these two were connected somehow.

And they continued their practical training.

But one day they met an entity. It was neither human nor a demon.

It had wings and was white. Pure white like porcelain. And a face so beautiful that even sculptures would fail to compare.

But they met it on their extermination duty. They observed it calmly first and tried to establish contact.

The location was at that same green plains.

Was it a cruelty of fate or not was not known.

The winged creature was like an angel. So they thought that it came to give them an oracle.

But it didn't respond to them. It was searching for something. And it kept searching for that.

"What should we do?" Aisha asked.

"It's doing nothing. So we can't attack it. Also it's an angel. So we really can't attack it." Leah stated it.

What she said was true.

"But think, if it attacked then what?" Belle said.

"Then we have to retaliate." Aisha said.

"Is it okay?" Mizuki said.

"Aren't angels the messenger of gods?" Momoko asked.

"Yes. So we will not attack. But if it attacked then we would have no choice but to retaliate." Aisha said with a dry smile.

She was thinking about that too.

However the angel did not stay put. It searched but was unable to what it searched for.

So it turned to them who were standing away from them and rushed at them.

It totally wanted to kill them.

It was exuding hostility towards them. Belle noticed it and told everyone.

Their face hardened and they prepared for a confrontation.

But the angel couldn't attack them. It tried to. But it's hand would not reach them.

Something was stopping it.

The girls were famished to see this. Also relieved at the same time.

Angels are beings that serve gods. So they are divine too.

It's really hard to kill them. Almost no human can kill them.

Maybe the sole exception would be the one who carries the title of hero.

But it was strange. The angel couldn't attack. No matter how much it struggled.

It was like something bound it. Took complete control over it and put it to a stop.

The girls were just watching this bizarre scene.

The angel was gone. It vanished from their sight.

They returned but had many questions.

"That plains, it was too familiar." Mizuki said.

"Yeah. Like we've been there before." Momoko added.

"But that angel. What was it looking for?" Aisha asked.

But no one answered her question. Everyone was still shocked at what they saw.

The silence became awkward to bear. The air grew so heavy that you could cut it with a sword.

Even the energetic girl Leah was silent. Because as a sage, it's her creed to pursue magic.

And she witnessed something beyond compare. So everything was messed up.

"Hey Leah," said Aisha.

Leah looked at her with a spaced out look.

"Can you use search magic?" She asked.

Leah nodded but didn't answer.

"Then use magic search. See if any wide area magic was used or not." Aisha told her.

At that instant, her eyes lit up. Like she found a path.

She chanted a spell and focused.

She was using magic to see if that was true.

But she didn't find anything. She told Aisha about the results.

However Aisha asked to analyze them.

"Now use that on us. See if we are under some sort of spell or not." This idea was a bit too much.

But given the situation, it would be best.

She again did the same thing. But this time her face warped. It was not from happiness but from disbelief.

"…. We are under a memory restrictions spell. And a weird magic that I don't know of. Even the memory restrictions is too high level. Maybe monarch rank. I can't appraise it." Leah said.

This result shocked them.

"Memory restrictions. So someone is deliberately blocking our memories." Aisha clicked her tongue.

"What about them?" She pointed at the heroes and asked.

"Them too. It's the same composition like us. Also cast at the same time." She said.

This was plain impossible. Because they were summoned not too long ago. How can that be.

"It keeps getting more and more weird." Aisha exclaimed.

The situation was getting more confusing. The girls were occupied by that. They didn't think about the demons.

"Let's go and get rid of those demons." Belle energetically said.

"Why? The demon king has yet to revive." Said Momoko whose job was to deal with the demon king.

"It's an obstruction. If that keeps going we can't focus on this. So let's get rid of them." She proposed.

"Okay. But we'll train for two more days. Then leave. But won't be telling the others. They'll probably stop us." Leah said.

Those two were particularly excited. So Aisha had no choice but to give in.

Mizuki and Momoko were feeling uneasy. But they decided to trust them and started training even harder for those two days.
