Chapter 13 - Chapter 12

The next day all of them went to the church. They met with the moon goddess apostle and decided to go meet her.

The gods usually don't descend. But now is a special time. So she might even descend to the mortal realm.

But it wasn't that. The moon oracle was preparing for possession.

Divine possession is something when a god descends into a mortals body. Thus possessing the mortal to give oracles.

The moon oracle was a woman. All the god oracles were women.

Mizuki and Momoko were looking around the church. Because it was their first time there.

"Now please wait and pray to the moon goddess." The oracle said to them.

They knelt down and started praying. And a moment after that, a light came.

It was different from normal light as it was rainbow colored. The oracle was shining.

"Hey, what's happening?" Mizuki asked.

"The goddess has descended unto her and now will talk to us." Leah whispered to her.

The oracle then looked back at them. They wanted to look up but couldn't. Like an external pressure was stopping them.

So they gave up.

"You are this generation's hero." The oracle or now the goddess said.

"Yes." Mizuki and Momoko answered.

"You are their party members." She asked Aisha and co.

"Yes. We are." All three of them answered.

"You have come now. But the situation has been resolved. You can go now." She said in a dissatisfied tone.

"Please, forgive us for our foolishness. We got too ahead of ourselves." Aisha apologized.

"You have not asked my permission nor consult me. But you already rushed in and released the sealed demon king. And then she fled. Now you have come to me." This time her tone was angry.

"Forgive us." All five of them bowed down and apologized.

But the goddess wasn't appeased.

"I am the goddess of moon. So I am kind. This time I will forgive you." Despite her anger, she decided to forgive them.

"Thank you for your kindness. You words are more than we deserve." Aisha said.

The goddess then spoke.

"The demon king has fled. But she is neither in the demonic realm nor the mortal realm. So even we gods don't know where she went." She said.

The pressure was gone and their bodies moved again. They all looked up to see that same oracle shining in rainbow colored light.

It was something divine. That light gave them a feeling of peace but also fear. Like it was both cruel and benevolent.

"So what are we to do?" Aisha asked her the most obvious question.

"Nothing. Just sit around. The demon king has fled. So there's no chance of revival. And the demons have stopped moving. So no chance of invasion either. Just get stronger." Moon oracle said.

"Yes." Aisha said. The girls also agreed to this.

"Then I have a request." Momoko said.

"What is it? I shall consider it." The goddess said.

"Are we under any kind of spell?" She asked.

"So she's asking a god if something is blocking us." Aisha thought.

"I can see an ancient spell. The kind that was used by them. But who did that?" The goddess said with a tone of surprise.

"So it's true. We met the perpetrator. He also took the demon king with him. So can you break this spell?" Momoko said.

"No. I am not well versed in sealing magic. So it will take more time. Furthermore, this spell is too ancient even for gods. So only handful of us can break it." Moon goddess said.

However the haughty tone was gone like she admitted her shortcomings.

"Then that's that. We have nothing more ti ask." Momoko said.

"Well. Then I shall leave. But don't do anything reckless." She warned them.

And the moon oracle suddenly collapsed.

The rainbow light was gone and she fell.

"The goddess has left." Aisha said.

"This was more nerve wrecking than I thought." Belle said.

All of them left the church as the oracle was collected by her fellow nuns.

But they still had no idea about what to do. It was getting even more confusing.

"What should we do?" Asked Belle.

"Nothing. Just relax for sometime." Aisha said.

It was true that they didn't take any break and were exhausted.

So they returned to their base and relaxed. For a whole month.
