Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Steele listened to Sarahs whole story. His body was tense, his wolf raged at what he was hearing. "You're sure it was a wolf.. not some trick?" Kameron asked. Sarah shook her head, "Ive never been so sure Beta." she said, "I could smell her. I felt her pain, and her fear." Sarahs voice shook. "I felt her wolfs rage at being shackled to the ground and treated like a monster." Sarah swallowed hard as she held back her sobs.

"She's just a child. theres no way she's graduated highschool yet. and who knows how long she's been there?" Sarah wiped the tears falling down her cheeks.

"Alpha, what can we do? She cant stay there. You should have heard her when as they were removing her cage from the ring, her crying tore into my soul. what can we do?"

Sarah graviously accepted a tissue from Kameron as Steele contemplated the options. A werewolf was being held captive by humans and used as a freak for profit. He should go to the council, but he wouldnt. they would have to talk and plan and debate, which could take weeks. the circus had advertised the dates they performed, and Steele knew they would be moving on soon to who knows where. No, he wouldnt involve the council.

"Sarah". He forced a half smile to his lips. "I am grateful you brought this to my attention. This cannot be allowed to stand." Steele nodded to Kameron, who walked over to Sarah and helped her stand and opened the office door. "You look exhausted Sarah. go home to your mate, and your children. they'll need you. leave this to us." Sarah threw herself into Steeles arms sobbing, "Thank you Alpha!" She cried, " I cannot go day to day knowing she's out there being tortured. May the Goddess bless you!"

Steele noticed a house worker pass by his office, "Bradly!" he hollered to get his attention.

"Alpha?" Bradly bowed his head slightly.

"Bradly, see to it Mrs. Johansen gets home safely." Steele ordered. "And summon the Warriors immediately." Bradly nodded, took Sarahs arm and lead her to the stairs. Steele closed the door to the office.

"Damn." Kameron said as he sat on the couch Sarah had vacated. "whats the plan Steele?" Steele shook his head trying to clear the rage from his mind. "We save the Girl. We leave no witnesses Kam."

Kameron stood shocked. "All of them?" He asked.

Steele nodded solemnly. "All of them. We cant risk anyone coming to look for her."

Kameron nodded his understanding. "Damn."

The pack Warriors arrived and they all stood around Steeles office as Kameron relayed Sarahs story. The emotion in the room was so heavy it pressed on the Alphas shoulders. Once the story was over the warroirs started shouting amongst themselves about what the next move was. Some thought this was a matter for the council, others wanted to leave now and rip the throats out of every circus worker they could find. "Alpha!" Derrick yelled out. Derrick was the 3rd in command after Kameron. He had been a childhood friend of Steeles, and knew how Steele thought. The other warriors spread out to give him room, he was holding a ticket in his hand. "Their final show is tonight."

Steele nodded. "Gentlemen. It's now or never." the worriors stood quietly as Derrick handed the ticket to his Alpha. Steele read the ticket front and back. "It'll busy all day today. it wont be smart to try anything until after the show."

"But, she'll be tortured again." one warrior stated

Steele nodded. "And we'll be there to support her through it, then remove her from it." all the warriors nodded. "We'll leave in two hours. If this is done right, it will be a quick mission. You need to be stealthy, We leave no witnesses. If Anyone see's you. taken them out, along with anyone who may come looking for her."

"What about the bodies? we dont want to draw attention to our town" another warrior asked. Steele nodded acknowledging the valid question.

"We burn everything." The warriors cheered pumping their fists in the air.

"Now go prepare yourselves, those of you with mates, say nothing. I dont want anyone knowing whats happened until we have successfully freed her." The warriors nodded and filed out of the room.

Kameron sighed heavily and scratched the back of his head. "So we are going to go watch her torture?" he asked quietly. Steele nodded, "I need to see. I cant justify the murder, of potentially dozens of humans based off of hearsay. I have to see it." Kameron nodded. "You're right. Damn, i dont want to see this. but you are absolutely right. This will be big news in the human world. We have to have a good reason to have done it if the council comes sniffing." Steele nodded grateful for his Betas understanding. "Go get ready. we're in for a hell of a night. " Steele said and left the office to go prepare himself.
