Chapter 35 - There is no place for Rian to return

"Is Dad, Rian home? Then how are things?" Daffa asked with a surprised face.

"His face was bruised, I don't know what he was doing. Daddy is very upset with your Mommy. It's easy for him to melt when he hits Rian. Moreover, the child's condition is not fine, making your Mommy even more concerned. In fact, it could be that the wound that Rian got was intentional so that it is easy to get forgiveness from us," said Mr. Eldaz so annoyed.

Meanwhile, Almira, who heard the fact that her ex-lover had returned to her mother-in-law's house, looked so uncomfortable. Regarding Rian's injuries, Almira actually knew why.

"Then what now, Dad?" Daffa asked with a clear look of concern on her face.

The man did not expect that his brother would come home so soon. In fact, he and Almira were just about to try a new, more intimate relationship.

"Just leave it. What do you want to do?" asked Mr. Eldaz with a raised eyebrow.

Daphne looked dubious. The man immediately turned to his wife who was sitting calmly beside him.

"Erm, me and Almira…."

"You guys talk about it fine. But, Daddy suggests, don't mix up the issue of Rian's return with your wedding. Maybe, everything that happened was as a guide from God if you were indeed a match. Daddy doesn't like it when a marriage commitment is toyed with." Mr. Eldaz firmly looked at his son and daughter-in-law.

Daphne nodded her head wearily. He wanted to keep his wife especially considering they were getting closer. However, Daffa does not want to be selfish. If Almira really wanted to return to Rian, he would let his wife go.

"Daddy hope you make a wise decision. Maybe there is still hope for this marriage together. But if your heart doesn't want this marriage, let's talk about it all fine. Daddy doesn't want to pressure you, especially you Almira. If you still want to be with Rian, Daddy won't stop you." Mr. Eldas' words stared into his son-in-law who kept his head down.

"We'll talk about this first, Dad. Later I will call Daddy to tell him what kind of decision we have taken," said Daffa, knowing that Almira was indecisive.

"Fine, but Daddy really hopes you guys choose to keep this marriage. But, Daddy also doesn't want to make Almira uncomfortable later," said Mr. Eldaz trying to understand the son-in-law's position.

"We will find the best solution," said Daffa reassuring her father.

"Okay, Daddy wants to go back to Daddy's office now. You guys talk heart to heart. Finish everything with a cool head," said Mr. Eldaz hopefully.

"Of course, Dad."

Mr. Eldaz immediately left his son-in-law. Now, in the room only Almira and Daffa were left who were silent because they were lost in their own thoughts.

Daffa is afraid of getting hurt again because Almira will ask for a divorce, while Almira is afraid that Daffa will divorce her.

"Al,"

"Daf,"

The two of them said at the same time. They were silent for a moment then both chuckled feeling funny at what they had just done.

"You first. What do you want to say?" Daffa asked trying to prepare her heart to listen to his wife's wishes.

"You go first, Daf. I want to know what you think about this marriage. Should it be maintained, or should it just run aground?" said Almira with an intense look at her husband.

Daffa took several deep breaths and then began to focus on the beautiful face of the woman in front of her.

"I know you love my little brother, Al. So I won't hold you back for anything. I will accept all the decisions you take. Do you want it to continue with me and continue the story that we are just about to start, or do you want to end it there again, when Rian. I won't hold you back even if I want to. I realized that I was only a substitute husband for you," Daffa whispered sadly at the end of her words.

Almira stared back at her husband's face. There was a twinkle that Daffa didn't notice from the girl's eyes.

"Did you forget something, Daff?" asked Almira making Daffa frown in surprise.

"Forgot? What do you mean I forgot?" Daffa asked confused.

"You shouldn't forget it, Daf! Too bad," complained Almira as she leaned back on the sofa with a very disappointed look on her face.

"What do you mean, Al? What have I forgotten? Please tell me. I really don't remember anything," Daffa persuaded because his mind was completely dead and he couldn't remember what his wife meant.

"When at our wedding reception, didn't you also ask about my opinion if Rian came back. You even asked if I would still accept Rian again when your sister came back. At that time I had made it clear that there would be no more place for Rian in my life. Once he decides to leave, then he will find no way back again. Even though one day we have to end because of separation, I will make sure if it's not because I want to go back to Rian. I won't let the person who hurt me again have the opportunity to repeat the mistake. I'm not that kind of woman, Daff. Maybe I will forgive his mistakes, but not with the wounds he inflicted," said Almira with such intense gazes on her husband.

Daffa froze hearing his wife's words. There is a feeling of happiness that cannot be described in words. Maybe he is evil as an older brother who snatches his sister's lover, but as a husband he feels that he has succeeded in becoming a winner.

"Are you serious, Al? You're not going back to Rian again?" Daffa asked as if she couldn't believe it.

"Yes, what I say is what I will do," said Almira without hesitation.

Grebb ….

Without many words, Daffa immediately hugged his wife. The feeling of happiness was so bubbling that Daffa couldn't help but hug her wife.

"What are you doing, Daf?" asked Almira, surprised by her husband's behavior.

Daffa, who just realized what she did to Almira was wrong, immediately let go of her hug.

"Sorry, I can't help myself. I'm too happy when I know you won't come back to Rian. Even though you don't necessarily choose me either, but at least I have hope for this marriage, Al. I know maybe there's no difference between me and Rian. You are both bastards who don't deserve your love and trust. But Al, I will try to be a good husband for you. I just ask that you give me a chance to show that I seriously want to keep this marriage. I would do anything for…"
