Synopsis
26 Years ago a colossal structure landed in the capital of every country. They called it 'The God's Tower'. It connected from every country to a single point, The First Floor. Humanity was thrown into chaos, after all who wouldn't panic when a tower landed in the middle of your city? The governments were quick to act by restricting entry to the tower and sending in their armies. But strangely, only some people managed to even get in the tower. And even then, every single piece of their tech stopped working. Cellphones, weaponry you name it. The soldiers were slaughtered like lamb by unknown green small creatures. But some of them survived because the tower chose them, and bestowed it's blessings in the form of a leveling system and 2 skills. These people were called Hunters. Cut to present, 27 year old Kahn Petro was hunting in the first floor's forest like always. he was the only one the tower gave a faulty blessing which couldnt level up.

Chapter 1 - The Worst Hunter

The Tower that connected every country gave it's blessings and permission to enter the tower with 2 skills that ranged between S-F class skills. Humanity managed to get the hang of the tower's blessings and cleared the first 4 floors in the 26 years it appeared. Kahn Petro was watching the news about the Hunter Nett, The Thunder King, one of the six S ranking hunters in Korea. He was envying the man who had 2 S rank skills when he first awakened.

But he still had to take care of his house. He got up and started to clean the bottles of alcohol from the previous night. He was a nobody, he had a couple people who spoke to here and there but he had no true friends.

While he was cleaning up, he dropped the bottles out of shock. There were 2 cards glowing in front of him! He dropped to his knees, there were streaks of tears on his cheeks. He really became a Hunter! He immediately wiped his tears and started checking his new skills.

F- Rank Skill: Companion's Aid [Author: That is F minus]

You have the ability to summon Leo, your companion who can change his shape into any simple weapon. This ability may grow in the future. Your leveling is disabled due to this ability.

D Rank Skill: Dragon's Eyes

You have the eyes of a mighty dragon. Most of it's functions are locked due to your weak body. You can view the general combat capabilities of people you look at.

Huh? F- rank? That was the first time he was even hearing of something like that. And leveling is disabled?! Does that mean he can't get stronger?

'The Dragon's Eyes would be a jackpot, but what use is there if I can't have the full ability? And it's locked because I'm weak?! I can't get stronger!' He was having a mental breakdown. But before anything else, he decided to at least test his F- rank ability.

"How do I activate an ability? Uhh... Leo!...?" He screamed the name of the skill.

Nothing happened for the next couple of seconds, Kahn was losing hope, but soon, he heard a strange voice.

'Choose The Form Of The Weapon'

For some reason he immediately thought of a scythe. His hand started glowing. And in a couple of seconds, a small and dull scythe appeared in his hand.

"That's it? It really is a F- rank skill. *sigh*"

"Hey! I heard that you weak master!" A strange voice echoed in his head.

'Who was that?!' He thought to himself.

"It's Leo you stupid and weak master! How dare you insult Great Leo, One of the #REDACTED# !"

'UGH!' A sharp stinging pain was piercing his brain. He also couldn't hear the last word of Leo. What does that even mean?

"So you are alive?" Kahn was looking at the dull and small scythe in his hand.

"Of course you weak master! How dare you turn me into this disgusting farming tool!"

"Me? I wanted a cool war scythe! You're the one who went ahead and turned into a piece of frickin alan wrench!"

"What is an alan wrench?" Leo was confused. But that doesn't matter. The important thing is that the skill said that Leo can change his shape.

"Okay try turning into a sword?"

Leo struggled for a couple seconds. Kahn could feel vibrations from Leo's body. And Leo finally turned into a kitchen knife, and to top it off, a very dull one at that.

"Are you kidding me?!" They both scream in rage. This was a surprise to both of them.

"My beautiful body, ruined by this disgusting master *sniff*" The knife was crying.

"Hey hey cheer up, it said that you can increase your rank!" Kahn was trying his best to comfort the pathetic knife.

The knife was feeling unimportant but decided to stop whining.

"Well then, now, how do I conceal you?" He catched on quickly, nobody would walk around carrying a kitchen knife.

"Just think of an accessory."

Kahn started to think of a bracelet. And immediately the knife started melting and fused onto his wrist. Now there was a bracelet with a lion's head on it on his arm.

With that, he went out to test his companion. He wandered around until he reached a great forest in floor 1. It was filled with goblins. The danger increased the more you go. From goblins to orcs and even ogres.

He walked around until he found a lonely goblin. He started sneaking up on it and turned Leo to a knife again. He jumed at the goblin and stabbed it's back.

There was a slight problem though. The knife was so dull that it acted like a brick. No damage on the goblin. The goblin let out a confused shriek, but it soon turned into a laughter.

The goblin swung his shortsword at Kahn. He instinctively raised his knife to defend himself. The goblin, being the weakest monster, lost his balance while Leo was flung away due to Kahn not properly holding it. Kahn immediately thought of his knife which was missing.

[Author: As in "Shit, my knife"]

And the knife which was standing meters away, suddenly appeared in his hand again.

Using the opportunity with the goblin losing his balance, Kahn thought of a dagger in his hand.

Immediately a crude looking dagger appeared in his hand. It could barely cut anything but he only needed it to stab the goblin.

.

.

GYEH!

A scream echoed throughout the forest, the goblin was shrieking in pain on the ground.

Having gained some confidence from this, Kahn grabbed the shortsword of the goblin and started to repeatedly stab the goblin.

He did it, he won against a monster with no combat focused skills.

"Huh, not so weak after all!" Leo was happy to see that at least his master wasn't just a nobody with 0 skill

But something was missing.

"Where is it?" Asked Kahn.

"What is?"

"My level up notice, even if a goblin wasn't enough it should at least show my experience points." Kahn was shocked.

"Could it be because you used your enemy's weapon?" Even Leo wasn't sure.

"Doesn't matter! Just take the core and we can try again!" Leo continued.

"Where is it?" Kahn was confused. Of course he was going to get confused, this was the first time he killed a monster.

"Every monster has a core instead of a heart you idiot master." Does this mean he had to dig into a goblin corpse?

He hesitantly turned Leo into a knife again.

"Whoa whoa whoa! Just use the shortsword!" Protested the disgusted Leo.

He sighed and grabbed the shortsword. With a shaky hand, he roughly dissected the goblin's torso to reveal a stone crystal with a faint white glow.

"Is this the core?" Kahn said, he sounds exhausted.

"Yes, now touch it." Said Leo. Kahn had no idea on how to extract a core but he knew the value. He could live comfortably for a week if he sold it.

Kahn touched the core with his right hand. The moment he made contact with the core, Leo immediately melted and absorbed the core.

"Nooo! What have you done you piece of-" Before he could finish his sentence, a panel appeared in front of him.

—————————

Leo has absorbed white monster core (Tiny)

Rank up commencing. Leo is now F rank.

He looked at his right hand where Leo turned back into a bracelet. He wanted to test his new ability by turning Leo into a sword.

Leo turned into something that looks like a machete and wasn't as dull anymore.
