"I failed to get you here that time."
They have yet to agree on the plans discussed a few hours ago. Everything is still gray. Neither Ivory nor Aaron knew how the details of the fake death would be carried out. So far, Aaron has only said that he will soon find out what conditions are used to be able to go abroad for more than three days.
Aaron then decided to pause the serious conversation that morning. He distracts her by taking Ivory for a walk. While today was his day off, he wanted to fill it with spending time with the girl. He vowed to keep his promise the other day.
And here they are. After driving for fifteen minutes, Aaron opened the car door and helped the girl out. He watched as Ivory walked on one toe. The girl seemed to frown occasionally when she had to climb the stairs.
"Forgive me. It turns out that my idea this time isn't convenient for you. Your feet still hurt to walk, right? Let's just go home—"
