"This is my house. Come on, let's get in!"
Aaron got off first, then opened the car door for Ivory. The Supreme Council's house journey to his house was relatively short. Only about fifteen minutes. Therefore, they had arrived in front of a magnificent building with towering fences. Indeed, Aaron's house is not as big as the palace of the country's leader, but this house can't be said to be small either.
Ivory was stunned to see the beautiful building in front of her. When she saw Aaron pulling her suitcase, she shook her head and said, "I can carry it myself."
Ivory grabbed her suitcase, which was already in Aaron's hand. However, Aaron refused. The man simply told her to walk ahead while pulling his partner's luggage.
"Do you live alone in this big house?" Ivory asked in awe.
From far away, a barking dog could be heard. Ivory's eyes widened with joy. She likes dogs. She often feeds the dogs on the street.
"Umm ... Not really. I-"
"Whoa-"
Ivory's body collapsed as a plump, furry dog bumped into her. The dog barked and tried to lick Ivory's face with its little tongue. Ivory laughed amusedly.
"Stop it. You scared Ivory."
The dog's owner casually pulled the furry little-legged creature from Ivory's body. He held the barking dog in his left hand while his right hand was stretched down. Aaron helped Ivory to her feet.
"I told you to stop startling guests. You still don't get it, hmm?"
Ivory laughed, hearing and seeing the interaction between Aaron and his dog. They look so soft. Ivory even squealed excitedly.
"Is that your dog? So cute! What's his name?"
Aaron let his hand be bitten playfully by the dog. He then rubbed his pet's head affectionately.
"His name is Chopa. He does get a little enthusiastic about new people. Sorry."
Ivory shook her head with a wide smile. "He's so adorable. Can I hold him?"
Aaron complied with the girl's request. He handed over his beloved dog, so Ivory could carry it. After Ivory managed to hold Chopa in her arms, Aaron crossed his arms across his chest and stared happily at the two creatures in front of him.
"Be careful. Chopa likes to lick people's faces."
Ivory didn't mind.
Truly, Chopa is the cutest dog she has ever seen. The whitish brown fur is soft. Reminds Ivory of a caramel candy color. The dog's snout was open, panting with its tongue sticking out. Ivory squealed once again, unable to contain her excitement.
"Do you like dogs?"
Ivory nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, I do!" she answered.
"He's a pretty smart dog, you know. Try telling him to sit still. He will surely obey."
"Is that true?" Ivory's eyes lit up in admiration.
Aaron nodded in agreement.
So carefully, Ivory lowered the dog right in front of her. Hesitantly she crouched before the adorable animal and voiced her command.
"Chopa, sit down."
Aaron chuckled at Ivory's low voice. He ruffled the girl's black hair before giving his advice. "Don't whisper. Say it in a clear voice so that he understands."
Ivory is nervous. Whether it was the touch of Aaron's hand on her head or because it was the first time she had given a command ... to a dog. However, this was her first experience playing with the Primary's expensive pet dog.
Ivory cleared her throat. "Chopa, sit down!" she ordered in a firmer tone, just as Aaron had expected.
Slowly the dog bent its tiny hind legs like a sitting person. Ivory shouted with joy. Aaron was right; Chopa is a smart dog.
"He can understand! He's so smart!" cried Ivory in awe. She rubbed the dog's head.
Just like Aaron rubbing her head a moment ago.
The corners of Aaron's lips lifted into a smile as the two cute creatures in front of him embraced each other. He couldn't deny that Ivory was no less adorable than his Chopa. Chopa also looks so comfortable in Ivory's arms.
"Honey!"
Ivory immediately turned her head towards the source of the voice. Her eyes met a tall, slender girl who came up to them. Like in a slow motion, the girl wrapped her arms around her partner's neck and kissed his lips without hesitation.
Ivory's heart sank.
She stared at an intimate scene of two people in front of her. Her chest rumbled. Instantly forgot if she was still laughing because of the behavior of the dog in her arms.
Is she that girl? Aaron's future wife?
"Why don't you come in? I've been waiting for you for a long time!"
Even heard from the tone of voice, the way she spoke, and her gesture, it could be said that the girl was adorable. Ivory swallowed her saliva when she saw Joy's gorgeous face. Ivory thought that kind of face could be ranked first as the most beautiful woman in Amerta. Surprisingly, according to Ivory, Joy's beautiful face is purely a gift from God, not the result of a surgeon's knife. In short, the woman looks absolutely amazing.
She get it why Aaron fell in love with her.
That woman is perfect.
"You haven't come back home yet? I thought you left at least an hour ago."
Aaron's arm casually rested on the woman's hips, squeezing her. The two of them showed their intimacy in front of Ivory's eyes without the slightest hesitation. Ivory's body was petrified.
"Uh, how can I leave before meeting your potential mate. I'll have to see if she really suits you."
In the next instant, the Attentioner's gaze fell on Ivory, crouching down in oblivion.
"You've met Chopa, apparently. He's our dog."
She chirped to Ivory. As if nothing happened. In fact, the person she was talking to was the person who would warm her lover's bed for the following year.
"Stand up. My name is Joy Osric."
Ivory ignored Aaron's outstretched hand to help her up. With all the pride she still had, she rose. Ivory placed Chopa on the floor and shook the hand of the beautiful woman in front of her.
"Ivory Kelana," she squeaked.
All her courage faded when she came face to face with Joy. She was clearly nothing compared to The Stunning, like crumbs of expired biscuits paired with caviar.
"I'm Aaron's future wife, in case you didn't know."
Ivory smiled blandly. She looked at the silver ring pinned on the ring finger of the woman's right hand. The ring sparkled in the reflected sunlight.
"You have to take good care of my future husband. Don't let him feel displeased for a second. That's my generosity."
At first glance, the woman's words sounded threatening, but for some reason, Ivory felt an innocent vibe from the warning. She was sure of afterward was… that woman seriously loves Aaron.
Even still confused, she saw her suitcase being pulled by Joy into the house. "Come in. I've prepared a lot of food. Consider it as a welcoming party." Joy waved her slender fingers at their dog. "Come on, Chopa!"
Aaron and Chopa walked ahead of the two of them. Joy slowed her steps to walk side by side with Ivory. Joy cleared her throat before smiling deadly at Ivory.
"Ivory, I want to tell you something before leaving this house."
Ivory nodded once doubtfully. She looked at Joy, who looked at her face with a look that was not as happy as before. The highlight changes instantly in a matter of seconds.
"You may be able to bear children from him, but don't expect more because this is just a game. Once you get pregnant, stop being around my Aaron because I'm sure he's doing it out of necessity."
Ivory wasn't sure if it was a threat, a warning, or a suggestion. She blinked her eyes to process the words. Unconsciously, she felt intimidated by those words.
It didn't take long for Joy's face to brighten up as if she didn't say anything.
"Come in! Welcome to your new home!"
