Chapter 26 - Third Prince

Giggles and good praises came from the women who were watching by the side, their eyes full of admiration and respect toward the handsome men who were doing their daily archery training that was only previously a weekly session required by the academy.

"Third Prince," a woman who had a gentle smile reached out as she handed a towel to the said man.

The young man, aged eighteen, glanced at the fabric being handed to him. With no expressions on his face, he stared back at the woman who was smiling at him.

"T-Third Prince..." the woman called, hopeful beams reflected in her eyes as she expectedly looked at the prince.

The Third Prince however just looked at her and without saying a word, turned his back and began to walk away, leaving the woman alone standing in humiliation.

"As expected from the Third Prince, he never speaks to women who come to him first," one of the female admirers by the side whispered.

The other women around her nodded. One of them commented, "You're right. While First Prince Jarius is known for being gentle and kind, and Second Prince Gavin is known for being highly intelligent and brave, Third Prince Kyle on the other hand is known for being silent and a bit... distant."

"Isn't he the one who passed the archery battle with Master Sky a year ago though? Even the First and Second princes failed to defeat Master Sky when they were at his age. I think the Third Prince might be the most talented among them!" one of the women said.

"The only problem is his attitude. He doesn't speak to anyone unless he's spoken to. Look, even that woman who is a daughter of General Lector was ignored by the Third Prince. He's already eighteen and he still acts snobbish with women..."

"But I heard there's one person whom Third Prince Kyle speaks to when he's not training."

"Who is this person you're talking about?"

"Who else but that cursed child, the princess that has two souls or something!"

"Princess Carrie, the daughter of Luna Veron?"

"Adoptive. She's not even a real daughter. Anyway, according to the servants in the palace, she's the only one who the Third Prince speaks to whenever he goes to the library. There's even a rumor that the Third Prince rejected a marriage proposal because of Princess Carrie."

"Whoa, don't tell me she's-"

"She's one hell of a seductress, I tell you all! That cursed princess may be using some spells to the princes in the palace for all we know."

"Doing this to the Third Prince is unforgivable! I haven't seen that princess in a while though. The First Prince is currently recuperating while the Second Prince went out of the Capital to find the medicine for the First Prince. The academy looks empty now according to my friend who's studying there."

"Perhaps something is going on without our knowledge."

"Well, as long as it's not witches suddenly appearing in this land then all is good, I will just watch the Third Prince's training sessions..."

Swords and different ornaments painted the walls as the talk of the town said the handsome and talented Third Prince entered the room. Removing his outer garments and unbuttoning the inside shirt, he combed his hair through his fingers and sighed.

"Will it kill you if you greet that girl earlier? She looks really charming in my opinion," Master Sky, another handsome and gentle-looking person who excelled archery, commented as he followed behind.

Eyes only looking at the swords hanging by the wall, Kyle responded, "I don't know her."

Master Sky laughed, amused at the response he received, "And that's because you never ask."

"Should I?" Kyle asked, head turning to look at the man who had been training him since he reached the age of ten. For this young prince, archery was more important than any women in the world. As a werewolf who relied on combat fury, this was an interesting talent considering Kyle was a son of Alpha King, a werewolf, and Luna Natalia, a human concubine of the Alpha King.

As the youngest prince among the three princes living in the palace and at the same time, a son of a human, he was regarded by the higher ups as the prince with the least expectations. This especially became the topic of the most prominent figures as during the blue moon's ritual, Alpha Prince Kyle told everyone that it would be up to him to transform or not. After which he had proven he could actually control himself even at the age of thirteen, five years younger than the supposed age, eighteen, where all werewolves were expected to have learned how to control their transformations and not turn into a wolf if they longed not to.

With talent and control at a young age, the Alpha King was pleased and therefore protected him, erasing all nonsense rumors about the Third Prince being crippled for having a human as a mother.

"You should. How are you going to choose your mate if you always refuse to talk to other people?" Master Sky simply said.

With all the students Master Sky had trained, only the three princes managed to defeat him at a very young age. It must be said that this slightly old person was already amazed by the brothers' skills. If engaged in a fight, these three brothers would be unstoppable. The only problem was their social skills. When it came to these things - women particularly - these three brothers didn't know a dime.

"I'm not going to have one," Kyle replied.

Master Sky laughed, "Luna Natalia will faint if she hears you say it like that."

"Then just don't tell her," Kyle responded once more, voice not hinting any humor at all.

Shaking his head, Master Sky sounded too amused for his older self. He couldn't help but casually comment, "If you keep this attitude up, a day will come you'll regret it. Archery is a good talent but men need some romance in their lives too."

Sighing out as he felt it was impossible to talk about such things with the romanceless prince anyway, Master Sky uttered while leaving, "I wonder what the princess is doing right now. It'll be more fun to talk to her about such things."

"You're heading to Luna Veron's pavilion?" Kyle suddenly asked.

"No, I heard the pavilion is under house arrest at the moment," Master Sky shrugged, as if it was a common occurrence.

The expressionless face began to change, Kyle turned to face Master Sky. "What happened?"
