"You've been daydreaming all day again. Stop dilly-dallying and staring at my products. I know this isn't to your taste anyway. Off to where you're headed instead. Go, go," the store owner said as he looked at Gin.
Gin sighed and placed the ring back. Turning around, he headed to the shop three blocks away. A string of shell ornament dangled as he entered, a scent of olive and lavender wafted through the air, covering the smell of iron and rust.
Gin stood as his eyes swept across the tea shop. It was almost empty except for the two people ― one woman and one man, both old as they wore worn out faces, seated near the counter. When they saw Gin, their eyes instantly lit up.
"Gin!" The woman called and walked up to him. "You haven't been visited for a while, how have you been? Did something happen? Any wounds?"
