Vera's POV
Vera and Dan found a spot near the back where they could still see well over the cluster of children's heads. Dan laid out his travel cloak for them to sit on rather than letting her unwrap the bundles she'd since packed in the waterproof bag against her protest. But they sat and shared their collection of treats as they listened to the bard sing as the two puppeteers prepaired for their mini theater show.
Seeing some red hair peaking out from the hood on his tunic she pulled it forward for him. "Thank you," he said turning to her.
"I was just covering your hair so it doesn't draw attention..." she explained not sure why she was getting embarrassed.
"I know. Look at me" he said gently and she looked back at him feeling guilty for hiding her reaction. What on earth was wrong with her today?
