Shrinking back the umbrella, Yeom Tae closed the car doors and the chauffeur stepped on the accelerator right away, driving towards the provided location on the infotainment screen which had been connected to Haneul's phone. It wasn't too far from Youngsoo's clinic. The only thing that worried Haneul was the fact that the area was busy.
While seated in the car, the heavy rain showers had covered the black tinted windows but Haneul's eyes were still fixated outside, tracing the way back to Youngsoo's clinic using all the strength in her eyes. Maybe tracing the way back helped her worry less, but the trembling legs and clicking pumps, along with her hand picking on the skin next to her nails made the man worry more.
"Haneul," Yeom Tae called her calmly. "Don't worry, if they called you then I'm sure they're safe and sound." He added slowly.
The chauffeur stopped the car abruptly, startling both the backseaters. The rain was too heavy to see why the car was stopped.
"There's a car there, Haneul-ssi." The chauffeur said before quickly stopping the engine and getting out the car.
Yeom Tae quickly opened the car door and stuck the umbrella out, opening it and getting out with the umbrella being held up. He followed the chauffeur who was opening the door from Haneul's side and held the umbrella up for her. The woman panickingly walked out and looked directly at the distant car, crashed into the tree by the corner of the street.
Shocked, Haneul quickly catched her pace and started to run towards the car. Yeom Tae sluggishly followed her with the umbrella held above her. The heavy showers got him completely wet but it was alright, at least Haneul was okay.
The closer they got, two figures became prominent. It was Haru and Youngsoo, bending down on the ground for some reason. Haneul and Yeom Tae quickly ran towards them with all their might.
"Haru!" Haneul said, sitting down with them right away, panicking and breathing heavily. "Youngsoo?" She looked at the two, still bent down and making a dome.
Yeom Tae quickly stumbled across Haneul and positioned the umbrella above all three of them, letting the showers consume him instead.
Youngsoo looked up slightly to look at Haneul. There was a small scratch on his forehead with a little blood spurting out.
"We're alright." He quickly told her so she would calm down.
Haneul confusedly looked down to see why they had been bending. On Haru's lap, little Luna was all fluffed up into a ball.
"He was bandaged just now so we can't let him get wet." Youngsoo muttered. "But we're fine."
Haru had kneeled on the road, with the asphalt scraping through the bruises and blisters she had gotten over her legs. Her dress was originally knee length, but it had been abruptly teared up till her thighs.
"Haru?" Haneul called her.
Haru turned her head slightly, making sure she looks at Haneul but also doesn't let Luna's bandages get wet. "I'm fine, don't worry. We called you because we needed a ride. You cut the call right away so I couldn't tell you details."
Haneul deeply sighed, "You're still hurt." Her voice wavered, seeing the small scratches and bruises all over her friends' bodies.
Yeom Tae raised his hand at the chauffeur to indicate to him to drive closer. The chauffeur quickly brought the car a bit closer.
"Alright, guys." Yeom Tae said, soaking in the rain. "The ride is here." He added.
"Oh?!" Haru looked a little up to look at him. "That's Mr. Bowel-"
"Haru!" Haneul slightly brushed her friend's elbow and whispered.
Yeom Tae couldn't help but chuckle, both at Haru and Haneul. He was genuinely glad that Haneul's friends weren't severely hurt. Youngsoo stood up, slowly helping Haru stand up as well. Haru had wrapped the cat in her hands.
"What happened to him?" Yeom Tae asked, looking at the cat while they all walked towards the car.
"He got into an accident this morning." Haru briefly. "He's alright now, just needs to recover." She added while sitting in the car along with Youngsoo and Haneul.
Yeom Tae shrunk the umbrella and sat inside the car, beside the chauffeur, in the passenger's seat. His clothes were soaking wet and he felt extremely uncomfortable sitting on the seat but it couldn't be helped.
"What about you?" Haru inquired, wrapping her arms around the cat and making sure he was comfortable.
Oh yes, Haru was the notable neurosurgeon in the ER who had given the man strange nicknames.
"I am alright." Yeom Tae said nervously. "I had to go to the GP and get more of the same medicine." He added.
"No." Haru shook her head. "Not that." She added. "I'm talking about you right now."
Haneul raised an eyebrow. Even she was confused as to what Haru was trying to say.
"Youngsoo," Haneul whispered in Youngsoo's ear, who was seated in the other corner. "Are you sure she isn't suffering a concussion?"
Youngsoo shrugged and leaned towards the window to rest his head. Maybe he was one who was suffering a concussion. Oh well.
"I'm not." Haru said. "I asked because dude stood in the rain for so long."
It was very nice of her to notice how he had stood with the umbrella over them instead of himself. Yeom Tae felt slightly left out in Haneul's eyes, but it could be because her friends were the top most priority right now. Well, he didn't really consider himself a priority in her eyes.
"Ahjussi," Haru called the chauffeur. "Please drive to my house. It's the nearest."
"Alright." The chauffeur said, turning the car to take a U-turn.
Slowly the car headed towards Haru's house. Youngsoo had long fallen asleep, he definitely suffered a concussion. Haru and Haneul had all their attention on Luna while Yeom Tae could only see the heavy rain and the soaking streets.
"Who was driving when you crashed?" Yeom Tae asked out of curiosity.
"Youngsoo." Haru said, looking at the sleeping beauty. "He definitely suffered a concussion."
