The chauffeur stopped the car outside of Haru's house. Her house was in a well-off society and her house wasn't too extravagant. It was small and cozy, with a huge lawn full of her pet chickens and pigeons.
They all quickly got out of the car to walk inside the see through wired door which Haru pushed a little with her foot, opening it up for the rest to walk in.
"You come too, it must be uncomfortable to stay like this." Haru said, looking at Yeom Tae who was still standing hesitantly by the gate.
They all walked in, onto the pavement which was separated from the lawn on the left. On the right of the pavement were 2 steps that they had to go over to reach the main door. Each side before the main door had coops; a small pigeon coop and a bigger chicken coop. Yeom Tae was confused, was she a Veterinarian?
Youngsoo was sluggishly walking behind them, definitely concussed. Yeom Tae slowed down to make sure Youngsoo didn't end up falling.
Haru opened the door with one hand, Luna being in the other. She revealed the hallway and walked straight to the second room, ignoring all the other rooms.
"I still live with my family, you see." Haru muttered, pushing the door of her room open with her foot.
It was… Disastrous. There were plushies all over her bed, her study table was a mess with books sluggishly stacked one over another, the cat's litter was in a corner and beside it stood the cat's two storey scratching post, the clothes were flooding out of the closet and the room was overall just a big mess.
"Yeah, I didn't clean up because Luna was hurt." Haru stuck her tongue out before taking Luna to her bed and making sure he laid down comfortably.
Then she quickly turned around to look at Yeom Tae. "I should get a pair of clothes for you." She said before walking past everyone.
Haneul quickly turned around to follow her as Haru had seemed to have forgotten that she was injured. Youngsoo sat down on the bed, looking at Luna as he slept.
"Don't you think you should lie down and rest your eyes for a moment?" Yeom Tae asked politely.
Youngsoo shook his head slowly, as if still a little lost. "I'm fine." He said slowly, "Sorry for troubling you, Yeom Tae-ssi."
Yeom Tae quickly shook his head, and politely interlocked his hands together, awkwardly standing with his wet clothes still dripping. His hair had all flattened to his head.
Haru and Haneul came back with a pair of clothes.
"These are my brother's, you guys are almost the same size so it should fit you." Haru said while handing over the clothes to Yeom Tae.
Haneul kept pushing her away, "You're literally hurt, I'll get things done, just sit."
"Oh."
Haneul sighed, pulling Haru away towards the bed and making her sit there.
"Yeom Tae," Haneul called him from there. "That there on the right is the bathroom." She pointed towards the door on the right of the room. "There's a towel among the clothes. Let us know if something doesn't fit you."
"That's," Yeom Tae pressed his lips together. "That's very kind of you guys, you didn't have to." He said politely, aiming his gratitude towards Haru with the use of honorifics.
Then off he went, sluggishly and uncomfortably walking towards the bathroom door. He finally got to change into dry clothes. He walked inside and locked the door. The bathroom was rather clean and organized. That was good. There was a big mirror right in front of him which made him uncomfortable. Why did girls have such big mirrors in their bathrooms and in their rooms?
Slowly breathing out and looking into his reflection in the mirror, he first slid his soaked coat off. The dress shirt was sticking to his body. The coat hadn't helped stop the heavy rain at all and his shirt was dripping wet. He slowly unbuttoned it, slid it off his shoulders and looked at himself for a solid minute.
There were tattoos all over him. Starting off from his collar bone, there was a small, strange sign imprinted there. His eyes went a little down but came back up. He shouldn't be taking this long in the bathroom. Flustered, he quickly grabbed the round neck shirt, half sleeved shirt and wore it.
Too bad it was half sleeved, now his dragon tattoos were half showing. The mouth of the dragons was just above his wrist and it went all the way above, the shirt only hiding the tail of the dragons. The dragon on the left arm was slightly different from the one on the left in terms of curves and the pattern of scales.
It was okay though. His intention was never to hide those tattoos. Just the one on his collar bone needed to be concealed, as he tried to pull the neck a little upwards, even more than it already was.
Strangely enough, Haru's brother seemed to have a nice and bulky fit because the clothes fit Yeom Tae a little too perfectly.
He rubbed his hair dry and walked out of the bathroom, looking at Haneul tending to Haru's and Youngsoo's wounds. The doctor was working, and it was the first time Yeom Tae had seen her work.
He placed the towel around his neck.
"Thank you for the clothes. They fit," Yeom Tae said politely. "A little too well, actually."
Haru smiled. "I placed a little bag over there, you can put your clothes in there." She pointed at the cloth bag placed on her study table while she was seated on the bed with Haneul kneeling in front of her and tending to the countless wounds on her leg.
"Oh?" Yeom Tae grabbed the bag. "That's very nice of you."
Haneul wasn't used to hearing him talk politely since they had dropped honorifics during their first meeting. But somehow, his voice was always unique, no matter what tone he talked in.
