Chapter 18 - When the clouds rusted the seas...

" Vernon, I don't feel good about this! The day had hit us, still Edmund hadn't reached us yet. What if your fly got lost...er... may be, It might have caught on someones hand? You know...", Evelyn began her whine for the thirty second time that day, which Vernon got used to since childhood.

He sighed- Dont you have anything other than saying the same old lines- he growled.

Vernon got sick of her complete whining, but still he can't let out his true emotions to her.

" OKAY..., what are trying to tell now?", he asked her again, as she might begin something more worser than a whine, if spoken back to her words.

She insisted him to get back home, as staying at the abandoned area at daytime might cause them trouble.

It wasn't easy for vernon too, to spend a night at such spooky, gross place; sleepless due to endless mosquito swats.

He had to hang on, for the sake of his friend; to hear if he was alright, got good people around or not, in a harmless locale.

" You were the strongest, when we got here last night. I can't believe you're giving up, way too early. Whatever, I'm sure you care about him more I do", Venon said hastily.

His reply pissed her off.

" UFF! I CAN WAIT A LITTLE LONGER", she said and ducked her bottom again at the dusty place, hiding the embarrassment.

Meanwhile at Bord, Edmund happened to feel extremely astonished by the messenger fly's presence there.

He screamed overjoyous, repeatedly chanting Mel countless number of times, unable to control his excitement.

" Mel... what...?Who's that? Did you hurt your head, Edmund?", Orlen cried and checked his head, pushing and pulling his head in nervousness.

Edmund looked at the fly in extreme happiness as well as tremor at the same time, on how it entered the closed space out of nowhere.

It was the fly Vernon send him last night. The fly had brought his message to Edmund, surpassing obstacles through time as well as magical space.

Allowing it to stay where it stood, Edmund took his right palm close his heart and closed his eyes with happy gleam.

He silenced his body as well as his mind, making his heart beat go stronger to the fly.

" lap..tup...lap..tap"

The sound of his heart raised eventually, completely harmonising the aura of the fly.

As soon his mind got peaceful, with no thoughts or useless worries of his personal life, he entered the passage of vaccum, a main stage to perform Telepathy, Psychokinesis and all other forms of exceptional occultry.

Edmund got to know about the message of his friends through the telepathic connection with the fly, that made him feel down for a moment.

" I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO YOUR WORDS IN THE FIRST PLACE. EVEN THOUGH I GOT INTO TROUBLE NOT LISTENING TO YOU PALS, I DONT THINK I REGRET IT. LETS THINK IT POSITIVE. I FEEL A BIT WORTHY, FIGHTING AGAINST MY GREATEST FEAR. HE MIGHT HAVE UNDERSTOOD NOW. BEING OVERPROTECTIVE AND CONTROLLING SOMEONE BEYOND THE LIMIT, MIGHT MAKE ONE GO OUT OF CONTROL. WELL,... I'M GOOD HERE. HOW YOU GUYS ARE DOING? WHAT ABOUT MENDUS GOLDEN FARE, DID THEY FIX THE DATE? DONT WORRY ABOUT ME; THE ONLY HELP I WANT FROM YOU IS TO DIVERT MY DAD. HE HAD GOT ME INTO HUGE TROUBLE EVEN THOUGH HE'S NOT NEAR. I'LL BE THERE IN FEW DAYS. DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER MY NAME FOR COOPER'S RELAY! COUNTING MINUTES TO MEET YOU GUYS. TAKE CARE!", he passed in his message to the fly, which brought him to tears, missing the time with his friends.

When he opened his eyes feeling relieved, he got shooked up to see Orlen on his front, looking teary eyed.

What is it?-he asked her in wonder, puzzled by her sudden behaviour.

" Edmund, I lost my breath for a moment? You weren't concious for some moment, that made me go insane. What made you act like that? Did your soul leave the body?", she asked in terror.

Edmund had to explain his communication with Mel to Orlen, as not many where aware of messenger flies. Only after she learned about that type of telepathy, she seemd relieved and easy.

" Well, what's this place? It looks familiar?", asked Edmund, noticing the place after getting concious.

Orlen exhaled and detailed him of what she observed so far.

" It seems like an empty chamber, vast spaced but wierd walls. Irrespective of its appearance, the walls are fine sands found on seas and oceans. The moist sands might have sticked together forming a stronger barrier due to time. Look at that side. Its strange someone had carved on it", she said to him.

It was the carvings that seemed familiar on Edmunds eyes.

I'VE SEENED IT SOMEWHERE- he thought to himself, when his mind striked him of the memory at the sight of Scizian.

A women sailing on the back of a crocodile, lightning hitting a sea, clouds breaking down in numbers and a carving of sea getting gulped up by clouds was what filled the whole wall.

" Santo! The hallway before the room of Mr. Scizian had these same carvings. What does these mean by?", he said to Orlen secretly.

His visit to Santo was so confidential, which might him into huge trouble, if exposed.

He told Orlen alone as the need arised, Since Orlen was known for her promising behaviour among her friends.

The dark chamber duely got bright when every combatants got concious, with their own ancestral lockets and rings.

Their conciousness made the place get active, but chaotic and wild at the same time.
