Chereads / TRANSMIGRATED WITH A HYPERMARKET SYSTEM / Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6: LEVEL 2

Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6: LEVEL 2

While James was busy with his issues, Alayna closed her shop for the day and returned to her cave. She heats up her beef stew and served it in a small bowl before sitting on the stone bed and began to eat it with some steamed buns.

As she wasn't limited to the servings that she can eat in a day, she was living the life of a king. She was also attentive and waiting for the notification for completing a mission.

After having lunch, there was still no news so she took her dirty clothes and went to the river to do some laundry. She brought back her clothes and hung them on the tree branches before sitting outside and admiring the green forest.

Later that evening, she ate some rice and the left-over stew from the afternoon and crawled into her warm quilt. She was very nervous though as she wasn't sure when she will receive that notification she was waiting for.

She was about to go to bed when that notification arrived and she instantly sat on the stone bed.

[Congratulations host for completing your first main mission: sell one serving of food in one week.]

[The host has been rewarded personally with a healing pill capable of restoring the damaged spirit roots. At the same time, the tuck-shop has also leveled up and five items will be sold from now on. The host had been provided with a bedroom and a toilet to make life convenient for the host.]

[Two chairs had been added to the tuck-shop as well as chairs for the customers, the cash till, a price list board, and a narrow road to make it convenient for the customers.]

[Lastly, the profit share ratio has been tabulated. From now on, the host will be taking 10% while the system will take 90%. The host's profit share will increase the more the host levels up. Keep up the good work!]

Hearing this, Alayna was so excited that she jumped out of bed and danced around the cave. She was so happy that she screamed without restraint, "ahhhhhhhhhhh!"

How can she not be happy?

The one thing that made her very happy was the healing pill, to be able to get her spirit root healed and cultivate again. How can she not be happy?

She had never thought or put it in mind to avenge herself for what happened to her. She was too powerless to do it and she will only be seeking death if she ever did but now that she was given a chance to start again, won't that mean that as long as she diligently practices, she will be able to get justice for herself?

Alayna didn't waste too much of her time and took out the pill from the inventory and swallowed it. She sat on the bed cross-legged and she felt the pill's efficacy spread throughout her system.

The process was simply too beautiful that she began to feel very comfortable but then something unexpected began to happen that left tears streaming down her cheeks.

She had been fooled by the warmth from the beginning, the pain was so intense that she rolled on the floor as sweat dripped down her forehead. She was feeling as if someone was ripping her insides out and it was even worse than the day her spirit root was in the dugout.

As the pain was so intense, she ended up blacking out and she woke up the following morning.

Alayna frowned as she looked at where she was sleeping, she rises up and to her surprise she wasn't feeling any pain. This was so surprising and shocking that she began to check herself ad touch her body everywhere.

Remembering the pain, she went through yesterday, she was glad that she wasn't feeling it anymore. And now was the time that she was going to find out the truth and the results of what this healing pill can do.

In the cultivation world of Niafell for one to be a cultivator one needed to have a spiritual root and the roots differ in colors. The worst root was grey, it was very difficult for people with grey roots to make it past the martial apprentice second stage. They were not even different from those mortal beings with no cultivation talent.

The second one was the red spirit root, the kind of root that Alayna had when she first transmigrated to this world and it was the same root that James has. They were at the bottom of the pyramid and cultivating was just a waste of time.

The furthest that they can go was the martial apprentice intermediate stage which was around level 4-6 and just like the grey roots, they just waste resources.

The third one was yellow followed by green, blue and purple. Purple is the highest and those with this special root were geniuses and enjoy anywhere they go. They were sought after so greatly that having one was like winning a lot.

There was a hidden and special spirit root that most people didn't know about. Alayna got to know about this hidden spirit root after reading a very old book that no one read.

There were a lot of books that people didn't like to read as they were considered useless but for every transmigrator, gaining knowledge of the new world was always a must-do so she read every book she could get her hands on.

This is how she got to know about the white spirit root, a root that only comes by once in a lifetime. There have been no one or few people with that kind of root and because it was white, it usually went undetected and it makes one look as if he or she was just a mortal being without any cultivation talent.

Alayna didn't know whether she was going to get her red spirit root or what but she was looking forward to it. She closed her eyes and condensed the little energy in her body to project the spirit root.

She didn't want to open her eyes but there was no way for her to know which root she has unless she opens her eyes. In the end with sweat dripping down her forehead, she opened her eyes and the revelation made her blood boil and heart race.

The projection showed a beautiful yellow spirit root, this was shockingly unbelievable and tears began to stream down her cheeks. She was so emotional that she cried.

The last time she cried was some months ago when her adoptive father died. This man was her pillar when she was lonely and lost and yet after five years he died and left her alone again.

After calming herself down after some minutes, she checked herself and felt disgusted. Her body was stinky and there was that familiar goo on her body that needed to be washed off.

She picked up some fresh clothes and rushed to the river to clean herself thoroughly. She got rid of the dirty clothes and her body felt much lighter. She was now filled with so much hope and her inspiration to work and slave for the system was even greater.

She was going to give her all into this and nothing was going to stop her.
