"Yeah, it's the same thing," Kencana Ireng nodded. "How can you fill your cup with a different kind of water if you don't empty your cup first, right?"
Satya smirked, he took a deep breath. "If you compare the heart and mind to a cup, I think that as a human being sounds very naive. Why not liken it to the ocean?"
Suddenly Kencana Ireng laughed, even the sound of his laughter sounded so loose as if it was effortless.
Satya frowned. "Am I wrong?"
"I gave you a small parable," said Kencana Ireng, "but you turned it all into something bigger."
"Did I?" Satya smiled faintly. "But at the very least, a thousand drops of ink falling to the surface of the sea will not increase the sea level, nor will it change the color of the sea."
"That's a very ambiguous simile, Satya."
"I know," Satya took a deep breath.
