Lilly's mother finished her interrogation after that conversation and they were now having a casual conversation. However, Lilly's brother still had an unreadable expression on his face with which he was staring at Alex and observing his behaviour.
As all of them were talking, Lilly's eyes locked with her brother yet again and this time he frowned after widening his eyes and then pointed in some direction with his eyes only, to which Lilly just nodded. This entire exchange went unnoticed by everyone except Alex whose eyes were fixated on the siblings.
Suddenly, out of nowhere Lilly's brother started asking for food.
"Mom, aren't we going to have lunch? I am dying of hunger now. "
The sudden demand made their mother flinch but after looking at the time, she realised that it was already lunch time.
" Of course honey. I didn't realise how long we were busy talking. Come on kids, let's go for lunch. ", she said to everyone with a smile.
