Lilly cried her heart out as she let all her bottled emotions out.
She was laying on her bed and her face was buried under a number of pillows to prevent her wailing voice to leave the room.
" Why? Just why? What's wrong with me? Why am I such a fool? How could I? ", she cried, continuously beating herself.
Suddenly she heard knock on her door, making her stop.
" Sis, are you alright? ", came Jacob's worried voice.
" Yes I am. Why? ", Lilly asked, worried that he might have noticed something.
She was trying her best to sound as normal as possible but still it was easy to make out that either she was crying or had sore throat because of her voice.
There was complete silence from the other end which made Lilly immediately get up and go near the door. She wanted to open the door to see why Jacob was not answering but, she also knew that she can't as then it would prove that she was really crying.
