There was complete silence when everyone joined at the dinner table until Lilly's father broke the ice.
" Have you finished packing up sweetheart? ", he asked, putting a spoonful in his mouth.
" Yes. There was not much to pack as Mom had already done most of the work. ", she replied.
" Oh really? We will be leaving early in the morning tomorrow as it will take some time to settle everything in the new place and I also thought that it would be better to give you some time to get used to your new place. "
" Dad, are we the only ones going? Is Mom not coming with us?", she asked looking at her mother.
" Of course I will be coming along with you. Everyone will be coming with you to see you off. ", her mother replied with a smile.
" That's good then. "
After that her mother and father talked between themselves while Lilly and Jacob just ate without saying anything to each other until their mother called Jacob.
