Chapter 22 - Contract

"You? Impossible. this is nonsense! Belenus made a contract with a baby like you?"

Eclipse began to back away in fright. He almost fell over from tripping over his own feet, as the panic in him began to grow.

"This is unacceptable. hey, Belenus! You're listening, aren't you, finally gone mad? Explain yourself."

As Eclipse went mad, Raimon created a second set of solar flames in his other hand.

"My father told me that this power was given to me by the being who brought the sun into this world."

"Urgh."

Punch.

Eclipse fell and looked at Raimon.

There was silence. Raimon wanted to continue the conversation, but the mood was not right.

He didn't dare to as he saw Eclipse's composure collapse in real time and he began to roll on the floor.

Denial. Anger. Doubt. Fear. Surrender.

Different expressions kept changing in that same order.

"I heard... Belenus. This is a joke, right? This isn't right."

"Say something. Why is the contractor we talked about a thousand years ago this baby?"

Belenus did not let himself be seen.

His silence was also one of Raimon's concerns.

When they had made their contract during the ritual the two talked like good friends. But since just after waking up, Belenus did not speak to Raimon again until today.

In any case, it seemed that Eclipse needed some time to accept this reality.

Nevertheless, he was a powerful dragon.

Despite his short temper and haughty personality, he was still a dragon who had lived for thousands of years. He had a keen vision, along with an indomitable spirit capable of facing all kinds of challenges.

Eclipse soon ended up accepting this absurd situation. It was the most he could do at this point.

"Baby."

"Yes?"

"It seems you are the individual with whom I must adjust my soul, as per my promise with Belenus."

The soul of a dragon!

A dragon had personally declared Raimon as such. Furthermore, it was Eclipse, the solar dragon that the first patriarch had defeated.

As a child, his heart used to pound every time he heard rumors of warriors fighting side by side with a dragon.

Raimon's nose and heart began to itch as his emotions intensified. He couldn't control the heat rising to his face from excitement, so he ended up lowering his head.

"Un, by adjusting the soul, you mean...?"

"Sigh... You're still too young to understand the details. And I'm not in a position to explain it to you right now."

Raimon nodded silently at her answer.

"First of all, as a friend of Belenus, allow me to formally introduce myself to the contractor."

Wahoos...

A strong wind blew into the room. Golden energy began to form in the air and swirled around Eclipse's body.

He was transforming into his dragon form. The golden energy covering Eclipse expanded like a cloud, and a huge golden dragon that filled the subway room entered Jin's vision.

"I am Eclipse."

"Representative of Belenus and his friend. The last descendant of the first being created from the sun."

"Following the promise of a thousand years, I will be your companion for life from this day forward."

"Say your name."

A grandiose voice shook the room. The short-tempered attitude from before was nowhere to be seen.

"I am Raimon. The Flower's first son."

Raimon replied while suppressing the trembling of his heart.

****

Fun and joy.

Every day is very interesting and fun.

It has been about 9 months since the encounter with Eclipse. Raimon turned 8 years old and transcribed a total of 80 secret books.

Today is the day the twins formally started their etiquette practice at the Blood Castle.

"Now no one will bother me for the next three years."

Raimon thought as he watched through the window as the servants brought the twins' luggage into the main hall.

Since the day he had beaten them in the hallway and left them by the cat's grave, the twins never bothered him again.

The servants delightedly called that incident the "Revenge of the Cat," as they were not very fond of the twins either. Raimon was not the only one who was harassed by them in the past.

But since that day, Raimon's younger siblings were obedient and listened to his every word. He could give them orders which was quite practical. However, the existence of his nanny was disturbing. She kept an eye on Raimon while pretending to be nice to him and looked for many ways to keep the twins away from Raimon.

****

In a few months, that cunning woman would have tried to follow me to the grave.

"I can't let her find out I've been in hiding, so it's perfect for her to leave now."

To this day, Raimon viciously ignored the twins' nanny and cut her off whenever she tried to approach him.

His true intentions were as clear as day very hypocritical on his part.

On the outside, she wanted him to get along with the twins.

But deep down, she hoped Raimon would fall from grace and be trampled by the twins so she would have a chance.

"The disturbing look will finally stop."

"If something like that happens again in the future, I will have to take action and deal with her."

"It may be a reason for discord in the family."

Until that day she had neither bared her fangs nor stabbed Raimon in the back openly.

Despite this, Raimon decided to give her a good gift that would haunt her for the rest of her life.

"Young master, you must go to your brothers now."

"All right, Reineza. Let's go."

The two descended into the courtyard of Blood Castle.

Under the steady downpour, the knights following the twins into the main hall stood silently.

One 7-star guardian warrior and five 6-star guardian knights. They were all part of the main house.

The twins were in the center, wearing smiles of relief as they would finally distance themselves from their devilish brother they were afraid of.

"Younger brothers."

"Ah, yes, Raimon."

"H-Hey, yeah."

When Raimon spoke to them with a big smile, his brothers tensed.

"Why are you so surprised? I just came to give you some advice.

"Thank you..."

"Thank you... Raimon!"

"I guess I won't see you for another two years. That's a shame, isn't it?"

Despite disagreeing with him, the twins nodded furiously.

After patting them on the shoulders, Raimon turned to the twins' nanny.

"Take care of yourself too, nanny."

"Thank you very much, young master."

"Could you bend down a little?"

When she heard the question she crouched down to Raimon's eye level. Then he leaned close to her ear and whispered.

"I hope you act with a little more caution discord among the family is not allowed."

As soon as her brain processed the meaning of his words, her face paled to a deathly white hue.

When she realized that the eight-year-old had become aware of her actions and her hidden intentions, a shiver ran down her spine.

A lump rose in her throat and she was unable to answer him. However, she somehow forced her body to move and bowed to Raimon as she tried to hide her trembling.

"We must begin now. Young master Raimon, I will eagerly wait to see your dignified appearance in 2 years' time!"

"Very well."

The knights raised their swords as the warrior beat his chest to salute Raimon before departing.

They then went up to the second floor and made their way to the main hall of the Blood Castle, the "Education Hall".

Raimon had been in that place before and it was very troubling.
