Chapter 13 - The plot of the book

Yes, it turned out to be possible.

Jamal had stayed put in the dining room, trying his best not to give out how complicated he was feeling. After eating, he had excused himself much to Asim's joy and hurried back to his room.

His heart could not stop pounding as he sat down on the bed and reviewed the original owner's memory against the things he had read in Atlantis and they meshed so perfectly that there was no doubt.

Atlantis was a big thing back on earth, the idea of a mysterious, missing island that had a profound civilization and held all the answers to the questions plaguing humanity bedazzled and intrigued humans.

It was a constant source of inspiration for artists and writers.

Atlantis: The twilight of the gods was one of the books inspired by the mysterious island.

When Jamal was getting into web novels in high school, he had seen the book among the forum recommendations and he had picked it up.

He had picked it up, read it and fell in love with the main character. She was his inspiration for a long time. No matter the cards she was dealt with, she faced the world with the same hardworking and righteous qualities that filled her being.

After three months of following the book, it became more popular and got a contract with a gaming character. Jamal had been among the first to buy the figures that hit the market.

Everything went to sh** the moment the book hit the third volume. Jamal, who had read about the true face of the main character, had been heartbroken.

He had dropped the book but not before leaving a two-page scathing comment to the author.

That comment had not been that bad. He sighed. Was this some kind of punishment for a mistake that happened more than six years ago?

It can't be.

Atlantis: The twilight of the gods was a fantasy romance written by Blue Scholars.

It featured a female protagonist. The female lead was a very beautiful, strong girl born from poverty. She faced the world with a mature and interesting outlook on life. She was not afraid of the world that she had just entered but faced it with a 'bravery rarely seen'.

Her enthusiasm interested Ares, the god who had found her in the Mortal world and brought her to Atlantis as her blood was much too impure for Shangri-la.

Did he mention that this was a reverse harem book? Now Jamal's mature mind could analyze the plot of the book better. Selene, the female protagonist, was the example of a pick-up girl. A special type of pick up girl.

She was a descendant of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and sexuality and she was extremely beautiful in her own right, however, she was not like other girls.

She did not like makeup and pretty dresses. She did not like to discuss boys or dates. She enjoyed learning about history and put all her efforts into learning how to fight and support herself.

Eventually, after she did many things that "succeeded in arousing the interest" of some many parties that would be charmed by her difference and fall deeply in love with her.

After a series of fighting, chasing and runaways from the female protagonist, the four male protagonists finally stopped fighting and lived a sweet and happy life, of course, while they did all they could to put the protagonist on the supreme throne in Sharinga-la.

He had actually transmigrated into the book of Atlantis. He wanted to spit out blood.

Even though the romance was fun at the beginning and light with little to no angst, the setting of the book was nothing to write home about.

Set in a world where the gods had lost their structure and had started what was called Aether farming. It was a bleak time for the world. No to mention that because all of the pantheons were joined together, the thrones were empty once more.

Driving closer and around volume three, the war between the gods would begin as they would harvest Aether from other gods and descendants all in the bid to reach the supreme throne or at least the remaining 11 thrones.

All those crazy and fun things that he had enjoyed while reading the book were actually dangerous and had the potential to kill him. There were dangerous, self-absorbed and arrogant gods flying around.

Jamal wanted to scream and cry. Just since he got here he had undergone quite a lot of various emotions.

He got up from the bed and he looked for some kind of paper. He could only see some scrolls and ink. They were old brown kinds of scrolls that were rimming in the end.

If he could find a way to bring these scrolls back to Earth. Ancient forgotten scrolls, all those rich collectors would be dying to buy it off his hand, he would make a pretty good sum of money.

Living a peaceful and happy life, finding a guy and settling down has been his dream. He needed to mark out everything dangerous that he remembered from the book in order to totally and completely avoid it.

He took one blank scroll out and he wrote down everything. After the dangerous events, he thought about people. Almost all the gods in the book were dangerous, a millennium of unresolved issues and power that are stronger than his, they should be avoided.

Demigods. Jamal froze. The windless room suddenly felt so chilly that he struggled to breathe. A layer of goosebumps appeared on his skin.

The villain of the story, Ozias was the great-grandson of Loki and a relative of Fenrir, the wolf who had contributed to the Ragnarok that the Norse Pantheons had suffered.

The wolf had been the one to kill Odin so one could imagine how much hatred they had for the little child.

He had been imprisoned and branded a slave by one of the Valkyrie of the Einherjar. The maiden had been killed and the severely abused boy had managed to escape Vahalla and made his way to Duat.

Not much was discussed about him, only that he met the female lead and fell in love with her kindness and light. Like every romance novel, he had entered an obsessive and possessive bout and the female lead's rejection had caused him to fall deeper into the darkness.

In his bid to win the supreme throne, he had committed countless evil and was helped and supported by Xaloc Night.

Xaloc Night. He had been the one to reveal the female lead's true face. His ability to enter one's dreams and read one thought process was exceptional. He...

A knock sounded on the door. "Jamal, I am coming in." Yemi's soft voice sounded from outside.
