The more I approach the packhouse, the more nervous I became.
Will they accept me back?
Are they embarrassed about the Alpha they have?
Are they blaming me for what transpired that night?
The nearer we are to them, the more worried I became. Almost to the extent I wanted to ask the rogue to take me back to his pack.
At least, back there, I wouldn't have to face all this. No need of thinking about what my pack will say, or do.
All I have to be concerned about is the Alpha, and his psychopathic ways of spanking me every chance he gets.
"Don't tell me you are thinking ongoing home already?" The Rogue asked in a smug tone, his voice showing how amused he thinks everything is.
"Mind your damn business!" I snap at him.
"And why should I, when you are my business also?" He smugly asked, his brows raised in question as he did so.
"You are insufferable."
"Only for you."
" Just…."
" Mek? "
At the sound of the familiar voice, I turn to the person I've missed so much in this pack.
"Kel?"
Standing a bit of a distance from us is my best friend. "Is that you, Kel?"
At the sight of my best friend, I felt tears slide down my face.
"Of course, I'm the one." He answered, but still didn't make any move to come to me.
And that was when I noticed something. The presence of the grumpy rogue Alpha behind me is the reason Kel hasn't taken any step close to me.
"Kel!" I tried to run to him, but the Rogue stopped me from doing so.
"I brought you back to see your pack, and not for you to have a reunion with your lover." He said in a clipped tone, one that made me turn to look at him in surprise.
"What's wrong with you?"
"You are." He answered back, a dark glare levelled at Kel as if he's having a mental calculation on how to kill Kel, and dispose of his body to the fowls of the air.
"And what did I do?" I asked, but instead of replying to me, the Alpha took my hand in his and tugged me towards the pack.
"Let's get this over and down with. Bringing you here was a mistake. And I won't repeat it ever again."
"Why? What's wrong?" I tried to make him stop walking fast, but he continued without stopping.
"You are what's wrong."
"Mek?" Kel called out to me. His voice makes me aware of the confusion he's facing now.
"Let's meet at the packhouse. That's where we are going."
"It'll be better if I don't see him anywhere near you." The rogue growled in anger, sounding like a damn possessive mate.
" You are sounding like a possessive mate. " I roll my eyes at him, "should you care to have a mate, you can go and search them out. There's no need to make use of me to learn how to be possessive and whatnot." I rolled my eyes at him as I tried to remove my hand from the stronghold he has on me.
But he strongly held on to me, not showing any sign of releasing me.
"You want to see a possessive mate. I'll show you how possessive I am."

And he lived up to the threat he gave. Not for once, leaving my side as I talked to my pack, and always growling at the young pups who thought to touch me.
Overall, the reunion between my pack and I would have been better than it was had it not been for the grumpy rogue at my pack, glaring down at anyone who thought to approach me.
"How have you been so far?" I asked the old Alpha who stepped up to be the leader of the pack when I was taken by the rogues.
"Things have not been the same ever since you were taken." He looked towards the door as if expecting the rogue Alpha to charge in here, and demand I follow him out.
Surprisingly, the Rogue didn't raise a brow when the old Alpha Asked to have a private talk with me.
He didn't say anything, and nor did he try to be on here with us. He just gave his consent on the ground that he'll be at the door to make sure no other person enters there while we are discussing.
See me giving out an eye roll.
"But he said he has been taking care of you all."
Did the rogue lie to me? Was that the reason he doesn't want me to spend time with my pack, for fear they might spill the beans if care's not taken?
"He has. The rogue has been keeping to the end of his bargain by providing things for us. He has gotten more fighting equipment for us, and his rogues have been teaching the youngsters how to fight."
He wasn't lying when he said he had changed his Rogue ways for me and my pack.
As a rogue, his home isn't a place. He roams the entire Northside, looking for trouble, and destroying the young packs that tried to stand in his way.
"I see." I nod," He is keeping to his end of the bargain."
And that made me wonder what my part in this bargain is.
Currently, he's not only taking care of my pack, but he's taking care of me, yet I don't see what I'm doing for him.
Aside from being rebellious and fighting him all the way. That is.
"I have a question to ask if you're not too uptight when it comes to personal stuff."
"What's it, my Alpha?"
The Alpha didn't answer right away. He looked at the door to make sure the Rogue isn't within hearing.
" Is he your mate?"
"Wh--- what---" I blink at the Alpha in question as I tried to think why he'll ask such a ridiculous question.
By far, this is the greatest joke of the century.
